Itching to Reveal!

All right ladies!! The board is dead, so I'm looking for inspiration!

12 weeks and the official END of 1st tri happens TOMORROW!!

I want to reveal on FB, because I've got friends and family far and wide that I'd like to be in on it, but other than making a few more phone calls to my grandparents and at least 1 very close aunt, I'm not planning on calling them all personally to share the news.

I want to be very sensitive, because we did try for quite a while, and we did experience loss, and I know others who have as well. So, along with a very heartfelt message about trying for so long and experiencing heartbreak along the way but being so very happy to finally be expecting our own little bundle, I'd like to include some sort of picture.

And while we've got a couple of great u/s pics that are very clear, I don't just want to slap that up by itself. I want something personal and a little creative, but I don't think we've got the time right now to set aside to get photos taken or anything like that.

So...help! I'm browsing Pinterest already, but any suggestions are welcome!

We both call each other "baby" hahaha!

HE definitely has favorite sports teams, so I sort of do by proxy. I'd consider myself a Flyers and Phillies fan moreso than anything else (don't particularly care about football, and basketball bores the crap out of me).

EDD is Sept 3.

Oh!! I like to bake!! Maybe we could put together a cute little picture with a sign that I'm baking up something sweet, but it will take the next X months??

I'd like it to be some sort of photo, since I really want there to be a nice text post to go along with it.

@iwalktheline, I so wanted to do something like yours, but we ended up not doing a formal announcement. We announced on FB on NYE, so this seemed to work better:

So, @LuckyAngel07, I guess I'm no help since I used an u/s pic. We added a really sentimental note, but I get what you're saying about wanting to be sensitive. I'm sure whatever you do will be awesome. Make sure you AW it here for us to see!

@PandPmeant2be, I think your announcement is adorable!!

And I have no problem with using an u/s sound pic as part of the announcement, I just don't want it to be just the pic alone. I'd rather it be part of a larger image.

This is funny....I hit the 12 week mark at the end of this week and my H & I are both dying to tell everyone too. Since we are both DJ's, I'm probably going to make the announcement incorporating that somehow. Maybe an ultrasound pic with headphones or turntables photoshopped in. So excited to almost finally be able to reveal to people as we've both been avoiding friends in fear of slipping. lol

Oooh, IWTL, I love that first one with the kitchen timer! So cute!!

I also came up with this:

Because DH LOVES the Flyers (and I'm a fan too, just less intense about it), we could get an itty bitty Flyers t-shirt and have DH hold it up in front of my torso, with text that says, "Well, it's a little small for me, but maybe it will fit Baby D!" (our last name obviously starts with a D)

That's how I told DH! I held up a onsie for our college and told him that it doesn't fit now but will in September and proceeded to start shaking and crying! Cute idea!

We just posted the below pics along with "After two years of longing, heartbreak, and many prayers, DH and I are so very excited to share that Baby Hack will be joining us at the beginning of April." Obviously, it was not long before Halloween.

We used a standard picture off google. We also added "The (last name) twins coming this March" along the bottom. We didn't announce until after the A/S when we knew the sexes.

I'm lame and posted a picture of the u/s along with the general, "H, Lexi and I are excited to announce that we are expecting Baby F in September."

I was going to have Lexi hold up a sign saying she was going to be a big sister w/ the u/s pic, but I kinda spilled a hint and people just kept asking me, so I just announced it.

I think it's on hours:minutes:seconds, so no crazy milliseconds!!
