Weekend Plans?

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • Friday: Going to a neighbor's house for a get together.

Saturday: We also need to pick out a shade of white to paint our kitchen cabinets (why are there so many f'ing shades of white?  How am I supposed to decide?).

Sunday: Going to a friend's house for brunch, then hanging out at home.

  • Tonight: We're going to Sam's Club to pick up a few things including a birthday gift for Brody's friend.  (They always have nice Avengers coloring stuff for cheap).

Tomorrow: Zumba in the morning, Chuck E Cheese for a b-day party for Brody's friend (fun.).

Sunday: WW and have to go to my mom's to look through boxes of my old crap that they want out of the house.  I don't want to throw it away, but I also don't want it at my house.
    :P
  • Tonight - just hanging out at home

Tomorrow - Gary is working all day so I think the kids and I might head to my parent's house.

Sunday - Gary's parents are taking us out to lunch at Red Lobster.

We have a million things to around the house, but neither of us has had the motivation to do any of them!

  • We were OOT last weekend so this weekend will include catching up around the house with cleaning and other tasks.  And Olympics watching.

Saturday I'm going to the chocolate festival thing at the Marriott North with some girlfriends.

Sunday at 8:00 DH and I will be watching Amazing Race.  Our favorite show!

  • csuave, I love Amazing Race, too!   I am excited for the All Stars to come back!
  • Finish putting away and cleaning up from Heather's birthday party two weeks ago. :-/ Prep the house for my BFF and her toddler to visit next weekend. :-)

DH and the kids might go skating tomorrow. Lego movie on Sunday. Work on materials for Knit and Crochet Festival in a few weeks.

Meal planning and grocery shopping or we will starve next week.

Yes!  I don't understand why all my stuff can just stay at my parents' house.  Like a museum of my youth.

We have a birthday party tomorrow afternoon.  I'd like to go to the zoo tomorrow morning if it's nice enough (before the weather takes a nose dive again).

  • Tonight: no real plans. Just chill at home

Tomorrow: Zumba and then maybe snow tubing. Depends on the weather. Tomorrow is my birthday so I scheduled a massage. I've had a gift certificate since Mother's Day so I'm due! Then out to dinner at my fav restaurant and cake at home

Sunday: its the last week if dog training class. Hopefully she keeps up the good work and makes me proud!

  • LOL, my dad is always bugging me to get my stuff out of their house!  I did a big clean out years ago and got rid of almost everything.  not good enough, I guess!  At this point, I think they have my wedding dress (not in a box, so i guess it does take up a lot of space), my yearbooks, and all of my barbies
    :-/

and my Barbie dreamhouse.  and all of their pools, cars, and accessories.  I left them there years ago because I wanted them to be in a cool, dry place (aka-my old bedroom) in case I had a daughter to pass them onto.  here we are, 2 boys later, and my dad is constantly harassing me to get them all out of his house. But I don't know what to do with them either??  I have tons!

  • Emmy, my old bedroom has a curio built in to the wall.  So I have a lot of dolls that people brought me from all over the world that were displayed in there.  I mean, what else do my parents need to put in there?  NOTHING!   And I was hoping to give those to a daughter, but like you, I have 2 sons. Do I keep the good ones in hopes that I have a granddaughter? (And my future DIL will be posting on her chatboard all "OMG!  My MIL wants to give us these 50 year old dolls. We don't need her old junk!  WTF!")   It will kill me to give them away, but it's sad to keep them in a box, too.
  • Tonight: Pizza and movie  with the hubs.

Saturday: Sanding & staining a stair or two (I am slowly restoring the stairs on our main staircase after ripping the carpet up), doing some work for a class, reading, and then dinner out (hopefully Smoke BBQ Tacos) and maybe going to see a play I heard about if we can get tickets.

Sunday: Grocery store, laundry, and hanging out.
  • Amber, I would be devastated to get rid of them, too...but at the same time, I also don't want to haul them all to my house! My dad keeps threatening that one day he's just going to show up at my house, drop them off on the porch and drive away so that I have to figure it out!  he's so cruel.

I snorted at your description of your future DIL!  I *am* that daughter-in-law, only with my FIL, not MIL.  She doesn't try to pawn stuff off on us, but my FIL is a huge culprit of this!!  "I boxed up all of Brian's old football trophies for you, thought maybe you guys would want them now that you have kids!"  um...I don't see the correlation?

  • i can totally relate about the barbie thing.  i had like 20 holiday barbies IN THEIR HUGE BOXES. my mom made me take them and we have moved twice lugging these things around.  i was hoping the baby was a girl so i could just let her open and play with them since they aren't worth any $.  of course i had a boy..... thank GOD i was able to sell them all on craigslist this year in 1 lot. sold them for $15 each which is sad b/c my mom bought them for probably ~30/each. oh well. i am glad they are GONE. i will never collect something like that for my boys since i see how silly that ended up being.  glad they went to a little girl who can actually enjoy them.

My dad has done this. His other favorite trick is to put stuff in your car when you are in the house. I finally told him that he could just throw anything left out, it made him so happy. He needs to get a job.  ;)

Tonight-probably go grab something for dinner

Saturday-Hanging out with my two youngest sisters. I think we are going to the mall, then to "craft" for my other sister's baby shower next month.

Sunday-cleaning, laundry, maybe Costco. I should go alone but I will invite Nathan which will cost me twice as much.

My FIL called DH one day and said 'I have my van at your aunt's house with some of your Star Wars stuff in it, can you come get it?'. Honest to goodness - TWELVE rubbermaid totes of crap wound up in my house that day. What the heck?!?!

DH has work all weekend, so I think the kiddo and I will visit my dad tomorrow for awhile. Sunday a friend is coming over for lunch. I think tonight I might try to sneak in a Target trip all by myself ;)

That's such a dad thing to say!  My dad has threatened that so many times with my Madame Alexander doll collection.  I have no idea what to do with those dolls.  My parents are the ones that kept buying them for me; they should have to keep them at their house.

My dad just packed up all my sister's Madame Alexander dolls. She put them in their spare bedroom on a shelf since they are so small. Now my other sister has a huge collection of porcelain dolls but my BIL hates them, he feels like they are watching him. So those are still at my parents. I think my dad is hoping my sister has a girl so he can make her take them!

My MIL did a drive by once with Nathan's stuff. I came home from work one day to find a bunch of rubbermaids on my back patio.
