I'm pretty sure I could have died tonight. Remember how I said I was planning on running today because it was supposed to be warmer? Well, I somehow forgot to factor in the whole sun setting thing. So while it was warmer earlier today, it wasn't so much as it started getting darker. Which meant that all of the water from the melting snow started to freeze again...and I couldn't see it very well. So I ended up running on the road instead of my usual path. Did I mention I was wearing all black? Fortunately I didn't get hit by a car. But I did almost get creamed by a family of deer!

I HATE running in the winter!

Haha I've forgotten the sun setting and temps dropping 20 degrees in 2 seconds. It SUCKS!

I'm glad you are ok. And... Um deer!? That's quite a run.

OMG....glad you are ok. Please don't wear black. We could barely see a runner on our road this morning who was in all black. Made me nervous for her! How many deer were there?

OMG, that sounds so scary! I would be that runner in all black too. All my workout gear is pretty much black because it hides my man sweat. Its gross. Hopefully with all this rain and warm weather all the snow will melt and dry up so you can get back to using your path. Though I dont think that will help with the deer population.

There were 4 of them. I think they were so focused on jumping through the mounds of snow that they didn't notice me. And I was so focused on avoiding icy spots and jamming to my tunes that I didn't notice them.

I think I need to go shopping for some non-black, cold weather workout gear. I could probably use something like this:
