*Csuave* Chocolate Festival
How was the festival at the Marriott North? I know it was the first year for the event, and I interviewed the organizers last month to write a story on them for the magazine I write for. (I'm no longer in the area, though, so I couldn't go check it out.) Was it worth going to? Was there a lot to do for families?

Re: *Csuave* Chocolate Festival
It was OK. I went with girlfriends so I enjoyed the social aspect and it was only $10 so it made for a nice afternoon out, but kind of a quick afternoon since it was pretty small.
Pros: Well organized, not too crowded, an interesting variety of booths (chocolate places, some home sales, humane society), a great highlight of local businesses and enjoying Butler county, and one beer and one wine booth!
Cons: Not much chocolate to sample although there was an OK selection available to buy. Freedom farms was the best with donuts and cookies but then there were only a few very small samples including a couple of chocolates, couple of dips, small samples of ice cream, and a chocolate fountain.
I didn't watch any of the demonstations so I can't comment on those. There were a few kids there and they liked the chocolate fountain but I don't remember seeing any kid specific activities.
Huh - it doesn't sound like it came together quite as they were hoping, I know that, as of a month ago, they were still asking for mkore vendors, too, which was a red flag to me. And she kept pushing kid activities...
Well, hopefully they'll reassess now and figure out the kinks to address! Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad you had some fun, anyway.
