Update - What's your favorite brand of bed sheets?

I use to get 600 thread count from JCPenny's that were super smooth feeling but they stopped doing that brand and I got the 600 thread count from their royal velvet brand. It's just not a smooth and feels a bit more rough so I'm looking for something else. I'm thinking of trying either Macy's, Kohl's, or Bed, Bath and Beyond. Any recs? I'm kinda spoiled

I ended up at Macy's 1 day sale yesterday and got their brand of sheets. 800TC and they felt lovely in the store. Got home and washed them, they came out of the dryer with very little wrinkles and when I got into bed last night they felt fabulous! The cost was only $60 for a king set. Original price was $190. I plan on getting 1 more set when they have this sale again.

I love the charter club at Macy's for bedding. I usually buy the damask sheets. We put several on our registry at Macy's for our wedding and I was so happy that we got them all! Why not be spoiled with sheets? We spend a lot of hours using them everyday!

Tommy Hilfiger. I know this may sound gross but I have had these sheets for 6 years(wash them weekly of course). They are loosing the silky softness but still feel AMAZING. I know my mom spent nearly $125 on them but they have really lasted.

we have a king bed so we are use to spending a lot on sheets

If you love flannel sheets disregard, but Target is pretty good if you like nice crisp sheets. They are very reasonably priced.

BUT the best sheets I have came from Restoration Hardware. It's like sleeping at the Four Seasons every night. They were a gift, and will be expensive to replace.

I am a sheet snob LOL! Softness and lack of wrinkles is important to me. I just last week bought the hotel collection from macys and so far so good. They are very comfy and do ok on wrinkles. Not perfect, but the comfiness makes up for the minor wrinkles. They are expensive though, I think about $400 but they were on sale and I had a coupon.

me too! I could tell as soon as I took these out of the dryer and I saw wrinkles I knew it wasn't going to be to my liking! My old sheets never had wrinkles. Maybe I will try Macy's, $400 is a lot, but I will keep an eye on their 1 day sales.

I like Martha Stewarts collection at Macy's. There are some pretty prints and they seem to hold up well after lots of washes.

I'm trying to figure out what brand of sheets we just got, but just can't quite remember. They're one of the pricier BBB lines-I think Wamsutta Dream Zone, based on googling. They're soooo nice. They were a splurge with our BBB wedding giftcards, but there's probably no going back now!

Honestly, our favorite sheets are the 300 TC ones at Pottery Barn. I know, I know - we registered for some with a much higher thread count through Macy's, but we had one wedding guest give us these with a note saying they were her favorite. We liked them so much that we returned the $$$ Macy's sheets and bought two more sets of these for $85/set for a king. H also bought a queen set for his bed in Nashville. He refuses to sleep on anything else.

They're percale which is why they are so soft. It's really hard to find a percale weave these days, and PB's are thicker than most other brands I could find with a percale weave.

EDIT: The ones we returned were Macy's hotel collection - and yes those are $400 sheets. They were fine, but we thought these were loads better. Percale doesn't have the wrinkle-free thing going on with it, but it's fine for us when we take it out of the dryer right away. The wrinkle-free fabrics all have this texture that feels odd to me.

I totally know what you mean about the weird feel of the wrinkle free. Almost like they have a film on them or something... I have tried the pottery barn sheets and didn't have much luck, they were super wrinkly. I like to fold down my comforter so it is important to me that they be wrinkle free. I don't have the time or desire to iron my sheets!! The hotel ones are definitely pretty wrinkly which is a complaint of mine but I got a good deal on them and they are comfy. With the sale, the coupons, and a gift card I had, they ended up only costing me about $125. I am happy to spend $$$ on sheets because you use them every single night, I like to be comfy!! Interested in other people's opinions who are OCD like me on non wrinkly but still super comfy sheets.

I love flannel. We use them all winter long. In the spring and fall when its cool but not freezing, we use jersey sheets and I love them as well. So soft!

I grew up having them on our bed in the winter. When I moved out, the first thing I tossed in the dumpster was the flannel sheets. Never again! Instead we use a heat blanket on the bed, and our regular sheets.

As far as good sheets, I'm horrible at remembering the name. But we loved the 300 thread count from Marshalls that were about $30-$40. I bought them 7 years ago when I got a new mattress, and the fitted sheet and 1 pillowcase just went out on us (wore so thin it ripped). Not sure what brand they were, but they had the light stripes on them. I've since tried other ones and we just can't find ones that are as soft of a feel. So we now sleep with the flat sheet and fight over the 1 pillow still in that pillow case.

OMG this. That texture of wrinkle-free literally makes my skin crawl. That's too bad that the PB didn't work for you. They're very soft without that awful texture, and they breathe. My H is one of those people who wakes up in a sweat in the middle of the night, and that rarely happens anymore with these. We think that whatever chemical is in wrinkle-free (which he always bought for himself) makes him overheat.

Go to Kohls! Both the Jennifer Lopez and Vera Wang collections are great. Vera Wang towels are wonderful too.

These are the ones we buy - we just get white so we can bleach them, but the other colors seem nice too. Just make sure you can return them if you don't like them. We love them, but sheet preferences really are personal things...
