Boys room I want to do gears. For a girl I want to do peacock. 3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? OB
    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I will try to eat healthier, less processed foods
    5. Will you go on a babymoon? No
    6. Breastfeed or Formula? Breastfeed
    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? I would like to avoid it but we will eventually if we feel we need to.
    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. I would like to work part time.
    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? Disposable. I hate laundry.
    10. How many children do you want? 2-3

I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love.
  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Can't think of anything, actually... other than safety stuff

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Haven't given it much thought

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? I'll have an OB, but I'd like to have my aunt there to serve as a midwife/doula as she's done it all for years and is very calming

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I'll do whatever my cravings tell me to do.  I already eat well most of the time, I will continue traveling if we have anything planned..

    5. Will you go on a babymoon? doubtful. We've had almost 9 years (and counting) of marriage to ourselves to do all the travel/couple stuff we want. If we're ever blessed to get KU, I don't we'll take one.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula? breastfeed, Lord willing.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? Probably to some extent.

    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. Plan is to SAH but we'll continue our PT side business which generates income.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? cloth with a few disposables as needed

    10. How many children do you want? I've always said minimum of 3. Ideally 6. Time is pretty much no longer on my side to get the 6 though. Thanks a lot, IF! :(

In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my LIGHT, my STRENGTH, and my SONG!

Bless your heart @rockabye 6 kids!

    1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP  Probably a good jogging stroller I can use till they're older.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? Extra points for PIP.  We're starting the remodel on this room right now. So we'll likely paint the walls this color as the spare bedroom, then just add the pops of color whenever it happens.
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? Midwife

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? Probably will stop the PCOS diet and will continue training through a half marathon if there's one scheduled.
Although I say this now, but if it were to happen I will probably be uber cautious the first 3 months and not run at all or drink a single cup of caffiene.

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?  If we haven't been on our "we're debt free" vacation yet, then it will double as our babymoon.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula? Attempt breastfeeding, but will likely have formula on hand from the beginning.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? More than likely at some point.

    8. Will you go back to work? Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.  Likely full-time, but I'll have the option for part-time or just working my business.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? Probably disposable depending on daycare.

    10. How many children do you want? 1 or 4. I originally wanted 4, then IF happened.  Now we'll be happy with just 1.  H wants 2.  We've decided we'll just let things be after #1. If it happens, great.  If it doesn't, then we'll go from there.

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I will definitely walk throughout the whole pregnancy. I am determined to stay active, starting now.
    5. Will you go on a babymoon? Nothing crazy if we do. We go away every summer so we will just do that again.
    6. Breastfeed or Formula? If I can breastfeed I would love to. I will switch to formula after a certain point though.
    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? Depends on the situation.

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP - Umm, other than the generic baby things, nothing really.
    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP. - I love the idea of doing a sailing theme in honor of DH's dad.
    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? - OB.  I want all the meds.
    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? - I'll probably watch what I eat and exercise a bit more.  Since I'm a large woman, I know how much I gain will be an issue.
    5. Will you go on a babymoon? - Ummm, probably not.  It depends on how long it would take for me to get KU.
    6. Breastfeed or Formula? - Breastfeeding (if able)
    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? - Depending on the situation, yes.
    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. - Full-time :(.  Unless there is a monetary windfall between now and then, I'll have to work.
    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? - I'm on the fence.  While I'm not keen on having to clean endless poopy cloth diapers, I hate the idea of it taking centuries for a disposable diaper to break down in a landfill.  We'll have to see when the time comes.
    10. How many children do you want? - 3.

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
I would like a wrap to baby wear.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? Extra points for PIP.
Probably a woodsy, hunters theme for a boy.
I'm not sure about a girls yet, probably lots of bright/light colors.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula?
OB with a doula. I would love a midwife, but no such luck here.

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?
Probably not, maybe try to cook healthier. (I am trying to now)

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?
    Maybe, but doubtful.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula?
    Hopefully Breastfeed.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out?
At some point I'm sure we will.

    8. Will you go back to work? Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.
Hopefully I can go PRN so I can keep my foot in the door, but essentially be a SAHM. This will only work if DH gets a new job with decent insurance since my job provides the insurance.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable?
    Cloth

    10. How many children do you want?
I would like 3, H would like 2 possibly 3. Right now I will be happy to have one and go from there.
  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP

No idea. I'm sure I'll research every single thing to determine safety, usefulness, etc. 9 months is a long time to plan- I'll be in heaven.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?Extra points for PIP.

    Nope. No idea.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula?

OB. Give me all the meds.

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?

Just listen to my body and do what I need to.

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?

    Absolutely.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula?

    God willing,BF.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out?

    I'm sure at some point.

    >8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.

    FT. I love my job.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable?

I'd love to cloth, but doubt I can get MR on that idea.

    10. How many children do you want?

At this point, I would be over the moon for one.

I know, I know.. I can't help it!! I LOVE big families. I'm a family girl and I want nothing more than to be surrounded by lots of kids/grandkids when I'm old. I want to have that busy, crazy house. At this point, I'll be lucky to get 3. I'll take whatever the Lord sees fit to bless us with, but I definitely want more than 1. No option.

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP ummmm....
    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP. I like monkeys... maybe like a jungle theme? Or sock monkeys!! AAAHHHH (pretty much I want a sock monkey themed room, but I have to remind myself that I'm not 12. so I will subject my spawn to my whimsy! bwahahaha)
    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? OB, I guess.
    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? Not really, with the exception of the obvious stuff; no drinking, smoking, rare meat, etc and limiting caffiene. (tear)
    5. Will you go on a babymoon? hmm... perhaps. I guess it depends on how we feel, lol
    6. Breastfeed or Formula? I'd like to BF. Who knows if it'd work, but hey. I'd like to give it the good old college try. Most likely it will be a combination of the two.
    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? When it's old enough, sure.
    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. I'd love to stay home. But yeah, bills and shit.
    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? I'd like to do cloth.
    10. How many children do you want? Definitely one. Maybe 2.
  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
My parents will end up buying something OSU so DH will make sure they have something MU.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP.
I want to paint the room light blue. For a boy I want stars. For a girl I want snowflakes.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula?
    OB

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?
I don't plan to change anything, just try to stay healthy.

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?
I doubt it. Maybe a weekend trip, but nothing huge.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula?
I would like to breastfeed, but it depends on certain medications.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out?
    If need to.

    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.
I'll be back to work full time.

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
Every time I try to pip something I can't get it to work - help?
Are we talking non-essentials here? I think I would probably have to say some kind of baby wearing item like a Moby wrap.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP.
There is no PIP since I haven't seen this idea yet- I kinda thought that a good gender neutral nursery idea would be to do a "What Does the Fox Say" theme. Little framed pictures with "Cow Goes Moo" (in black and white) "Duck Says Quack" (in orange and yellow) etc. with a large framed picture of a cartoonish fox.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? Haven't thought too far into it, but most likely an OB and a Doula- really love the idea of a home birth, but with being over 30 and overweight, most likely would go for the option of hospital birth but with an emphasis on minimal medical interventions

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?
    less coffee and diet coke!

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?
not sure. we've gone on a vacation nearly every year since we got married. I could definitely see us going on a cruise at some point during the pregnancy since it's something we have been talking about for a while.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula? I would absolutely love to try breastfeeding. I'd aim for at least 1 year and be open to longer, but with realistic expectations that it may not work out that way (known so many people who have production issues)

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? Not right away, but after 3ish months, yeah.

    8. Will you go back to work?  Ideally I would stay at home. I currently work in an infant room in a day care and if I were to return to working there, my baby would have to be placed in the other infant room, which is practically the same room just divided by a half wall. I can't see my self being able to handle taking care of other babies while my own baby was just a few feet away. I've always said that I'd open my own home day care, but if that wasn't feasible right away, if I HAD to go back to work I'd get a part time evening job at the convenience store down the street that is always hiring and work 6-11pm while DH is home.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? I'd love to go the cloth diapering route!

    10. How many children do you want? I've always said I wanted 4, and we will definitely have the space in the house for that many, but financially and time wise I'm not sure that's doable. DH is an only child, and I'm from a 3 child household. We both want at least 2. more if we can afford it.

    ~Jenny~
  • 1. Jogging stroller.
    2. Not yet… I love polka dots, but DH hates them… we'll see.
    3. OB.
    4. Probably just work out a little less intensely (like not p90X-style).
    5. Hopefully. :)
    6. Breastfeed.
    7. Depends on the age and purpose. Less than 6 months old, probably not for any reason, over 6 months, possibly related to sleep issues.
    8. Best case scenario would be part-time… Not sure if we'll be able to afford it though.
    9. Cloth Diapers.
    10. 2 biological and 2 adopted is the goal.

    image
    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?
I want a white crib. And polka dots. In Blue/Greens or Purple/gray

     3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? OB

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I will never NEVER become that woman who says, "I don't have to exercise anymore and can eat what I want because it's for the baby."  I would like to continue the healthy lifestyle we have created to get to the point of being able to have a baby.

    5. Will you go on a babymoon? No. And I won't get a push present either.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula? Breastfeed, if possible ( Had a reduction years ago, may not be possible) and I will be totally fine formula feeding if it doesn't work out. Food is food.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? Yes.

    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. I don't see myself becoming a SAHM mom, unless we have multiples, and only then it'll be until they are a little cheaper to put in to daycare.  I love teaching and don't see myself as someone who would be happy staying home all day.

    10. How many children do you want? 2-3 but at this point in the game of IF, I want one. One little baby to love.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP.I'm a literature/grammar nerd and plan to have that as a "theme".
    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? OB...I like mine and I like drugggs.
    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? Lots of healthy eating and much more effort to be lower stress.
    5. Will you go on a babymoon? Probably not, I would want to save all the money for the nursery or little clothes!! If we did, it would be relatively local.
    6. Breastfeed or Formula? I would love to breastfeed but have no qualms if it didn't work out that way.
    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? Yes.
    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. Full time. It's not in the cards for us to be a one income household. We both like things too much lol.
    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? Disposable.
    10. How many children do you want? I always thought 3 was a nice number but now I would feel amazingly blessed with 1.

    4. I dont plan to do anything differently. Maybe reduce my caffeine but I don't drink that much as is.
    5. We travel a lot and I don't foresee that changing but not really a babymoon. Unless you count Australia but that is really trip to do before we start trying.
    6. I would love to BF but I am not opposed to formula
    7. Not sure about the CIO yet. I understand both sides and think that answer will come with the kid.
    8.
    9. On the fence but probably disposable
    10. H and I have agreed in 2.5 kids ;-).

  • 5. Will you go on a babymoon?
not sure. we've gone on a vacation nearly every year since we got married. I could definitely see us going on a cruise at some point during the pregnancy since it's something we have been talking about for a while.

Just so you know, you have to have medical clearance to go on a cruise pregnant and can't go past 26 weeks at any point during the cruise.

The board is slow so time for some questions for WHEN we all get pregnant.

For the newbies, GTKY (Get To Know You) CBH (Cart Before Horse).

    1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? I want a jogging stroller. I want to make sure to lose the fat afterwards. :) 2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? I will do grey walls. If a boy I want a vintage sports theme, we both love sports and that will be a part of growing up. For a girl, same walls, and probably do a pretty purple. Nothing princess just feminine. 3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? OB 4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I will definitely eat better. We will travel if possible, or have plans already. 5. Will you go on a babymoon? No idea. 6. Breastfeed or Formula? Breastfeed mostly. Formula when needed. 7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? I say I will try. But then again we will see when it actually happens. lol 8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM I will be a SAHM, and since I work in a restaurant, I will most likely go back a lil later part-time. 9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? disposable. I can't think of putting shit in my washer. eeeew 10. How many children do you want? 2-3 I can't wait!!!! :)

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
    some kind of carrier/wrap

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery?  Extra points for PIP.
Wall color depends on if we are still renting or own a place when we have a baby. Theme will most likely be animal related but I'm not sure if it'll be farm, jungle, wildlife, etc.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula?
    OB

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?
Try to stay active and eat better. I will travel if planned

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?
Probably not as I can be pretty frugal and would want to put that money toward baby stuff.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula?
Would like to try breastfeeding but I am in no way opposed to doing formula.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out?
Yep depending on age and situation

    8. Will you go back to work?  Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.
Depends on DH's & my job situations at the time. I'd like to be a SAHM; however, if I have a job I really enjoy with an income that can support daycare and still have a reasonable amount left then I have no problem working full time. If I'm still a nanny for my BFF's little girl I'll probably keep doing that.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? I like the idea of trying cloth but to be honest we will be doing disposable

    10. How many children do you want? 2-4

Yeah, I remember reading about that when we went on our cruise last year. We just did a weekend cruise to see if it was something we would like, and we both agree it was the first time we went on a vacation where we actually felt relaxed- it was a nice balance of down time and activities. We've talked about going in the fall, for a longer trip. It may end up being while I am pregnant, but then again it may end up being before, as we are not yet TTC and not sure how long it will take, but I will definitely keep that in mind!

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
    * A baby carrier or wrap

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? Extra points for PIP.
    * Not sure yet. Lots of ideas bouncing around in my head.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula?
    * OB.

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)?
    * Already trying to eat better and exercise more so I will try to continue doing that during the pregnancy.

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?
    * Would love to but I doubt it will happen.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula?
    * Breastfeed. Ideally, I would like to at least go one year.

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out?
    * Depends on age and situation.

    8. Will you go back to work? Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.
    * Our current plan is for me to be a SAHM and work on my Etsy business. Whether that actually happens depends on where we are financially when we finally get pregnant.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable?
    * Disposable.

    10. How many children do you want?
    * 2 or 3.

  • 1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? A new car seat; I'm not super picky about anything else but he car seat will not be used! 2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? I have the nursery painted a pale green from Valspar called timid absinthe, I will accent it with turquoise 3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? My office has both midwives and obs so if we get to have a natural child I'm not sure...I really like the ob I deal with, but I also like the idea of the midwife 4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? I will probable be more careful with my diet 5. Will you go on a babymoon? DH and I use any excuse to travel we can, I'm sure we will do something 6. Breastfeed or Formula?breastfeed 7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? I'd try to 8Will you go back to work? I would like to stay home the remainder of the school year, then I will have a cousin of my Dad babysit-she is only a few miles from my school. Part-time, Full-time, SAHM. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? Cloth, except maybe for travel 10. How many children do you want? I've always wanted 3 but DH wants 2

  • I'm late to this party, but wanted to chime in!

    1. What's one item you will make sure you have for baby no matter what the cost? Extra points for PIP
    A great car seat.

    2. Do you have a color or theme you want for the nursery? Extra points for PIP.  No idea, honestly. I'm not a big decorator.

    3. Will you use an OB, Midwife, or Doula? Doula, if we can make it work financially.

    4. Will you do anything differently through pregnancy (eating, exercise, travel, etc)? Whatever the doctor orders

    5. Will you go on a babymoon?  We hope to. One of our goals before TTC is to save up for a trip, but of course that comes after basic financial security and medical/baby expenses, so the babymoon would be the first thing to get scrapped if we have to do so.

    6. Breastfeed or Formula? breastfeed if at all possible

    7. Will you let your child Cry It Out? No

    8. Will you go back to work? Part-time, Full-time, SAHM.  Probably full-time, though I plan to have a job that will let me do a lot of my work from home if needed.

    9. Cloth Diaper or Disposable? Not sure on this one. Up until a year or so ago, I didn't even realize a lot of people used cloth. Then I discovered they're not all that hard to use and can be more cost-effective and comfortable, and I was thinking we'd probably use them. Then I learned how hard they are to strip after a while if you have hard water. Sooo... we'll see, I guess?

    10. How many children do you want? I like the idea of 2-3, I think. DH is around there too. I think I'm more on the 2 side and he'd want to keep going, but we'll see how he feels about that in five years...

    1. A wrap. I really like this one:

    Cielo EllaRoo Wraparound Baby Carrier
Since it can be used on both the front and the back and it's a rainbow!
    2. That depends really, but I'm thinking soft greens, yellows and oranges. Though I saw some gorgeous money wallpaper the other day.
    3. A midwife, definitely.
    4. I think I might take some cooking classes. I can't cook very well, and if I do, it's all really spicey, which obviously I couldn't give to a baby.
    5. If I'm pregnant by June, then kind of? I don't know if it counts when you're less than three months pregnant, and you're working through it, haha. But maybe I'll go up to Scotland for a little bit once I'm on maternity leave.
    6. Hopefully breastfeed.
    7. I have no idea, to be honest. Probably.
    8. I get 12 months paid maternity leave, and I'm thinking of staying in work until I'm 8 months pregnant, so then I'll have 11 months off with the baby. But then, I'll be going back to work full time.
    9. Cloth, I think.
    10. Just the one will do me fine, but I'm not even pregnant yet, so we'll see.
