Re: QOTD 2/24

  • Lately I've been on a big toast kick. I should have something with more protein and less carbs, but it's good.

  • I like a few things for breakfast, but I almost always have berries (strawberries or blackberries).  On top of that, I'll have an english muffin, or oatmeal with a little brown sugar and almonds, or egg whites (either scrambled or boiled).  I used to eat cereal, but all the ones I like have SO much sugar and carbs in them!

  • Usually, oatmeal, cereal or green smoothies. Lately bagel with cream cheese is the only thing I can hold down.

At work: 1/2 cup oatmeal, (Fruit if I'm on top of things.)

Home: I'll usually make breakfast burritos. One egg, chopped onion, and whatever veggies I have in the fridge and roll it on a corn tortilla.  Or I'll have frosted mini wheats (zero sodium before the milk)

  • I eat either cereal or toast with butter.  Sometime's I'll have a piece of coffee cake or banana bread instead.

  • I'm an oatmeal addict! I have it for breakfast almost every day. I went through serious withdrawal when we were in Italy and there was no oatmeal in sight for 3 weeks!

  • I'm not very big on breakfast.  I also leave my house at 5:30 am, which makes me even less keen on breakfast.  I've gotten to where I absolutely must have my Special K Milk Chocolate protein shake at my desk around 9 am though.  LOVE them!  They're like thick chocolate milk.  I started drinking them to try to kick start my metabolism in the morning a couple years ago when I was trying to lose weight.  Now I can't go without them.

  • At work, oatmeal. Home it varies.

  • Not really a breakfast person. I have been drinking meal supplement shakes in the morning just so at least something is in my system.

  • I usually grab some granola to eat on the way to work. I just made baked oatmeal this weekend which I loved so I think I will be making that more often.

  • I rarely eat breakfast during the week. When I went through my super stressful time last year I couldn't eat most of the time, and breakfast kinda stuck. I usually will have a diet coke. Occasionally a bagel or some toast. On weekends we go to Panera on Sunday. Saturday I'll cook bacon, eggs, waffles/pancakes/biscuits...something tasty!

  • I hate eating breakfast, it makes me nauseous to eat in the morning (even before pregnancy). I pack some cheerios and fruit to eat during class. I have coffee when I first wake up.

On the weekends we make eggs or waffles or pancakes.

I had the same problem up until a few years ago.  Literally got sick just thinking of food in the am.  I'm not especially hungry in the am now, but I've noticed it helps me not "crash" around 10am or so, so I choke it down.
