WTF Wednesday

Re: WTF Wednesday

  • UGH this couldn't have come at a better time!! This is going to be a long rant because there's some explaining and a lot to rant about!!

I'm on the steering committee for a local organization managed by our Chamber of Commerce. This committee has a staff liaison who is paid by the Chamber, and this is how she has annoyed me over the past three hours:

    1. She sent out an updated committee contact sheet with my wrong email (maiden name). She has been told countless times that this is not my email but continues to use it so that I don't get emails. I don't know how to make it any clearer YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR CONTACTS! She started after I was married, so I don't even know how this is an issue.

    2.  She resent materials for an event we're holding. The first time she sent them, she asked us to update them. As volunteers, that's not our job. That's her job as the paid staff person. This time she was supposedly sending us the updated documents but they weren't updated. They had all of last year's times, dates, and even the name of the person who coordinated it last year instead of her name. She didn't even update her own name!!!

    3. I got an email from her sort of scolding me for not keeping her in the loop about something that only happened yesterday. But last month, she did the same exact thing to me, she scheduled something that was my responsibility and then didn't tell me about it, so I reported at a meeting and then she told me in front of everyone, with an oh sorry, it only happened yesterday.

I'm sorry, this person has just been a pain in my @$$ since she started months ago. I get it's a new job, but these aren't screw ups because she's new. I feel a little better now. I'll feel even better when I have a drink after work!! :-)

  • One of the girls at work forwarded an e-mail from a client to three other people asking for help. Ok, no problem. So, I e-mailed to verify what she wanted me to get back to her on... one was obviously me but there were others she might have wanted me to take care of also. I get the rude, sarcastic e-mail back. Bite me :)

  • WTF BIL! Back story: H and BIL shared an account as kids that MIL put money into for certain things (it all worked out evenly somehow). Anyways when they got older and got jobs they got separate accounts but BIL kept the one they shared as a savings. Up until recently H still had access because he was BIL's emergency person until he got married. Present Day: BIL called H Monday and asked why the account was low. H had no clue and BIL was like that's where we pay the car pay,net and the check bounced. BIL basically proved he doesn't trust H and thinks H would steal his money. BIL writes us a check every 3 months for FIL's life insurance policy so if we were going to take money don't you think it would have already happened for that? It's stupid but completely irratating.
