CM question

Hi everyone! I'm new to charting and have a couple questions about classifying CM on FF. Is 'eggwhite' referring to the color or consistency? If color is it supposed to be the color of raw egg white or cooked egg white? Also, does sticky also mean stretchy or are they different? Thanks for your help, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm confused.

Re: CM question

  • Consistency. Egg white is more stretchy. Sticky is hard to explain.
  • Ditto Bruins. To expand a little, eggwhite CM is pretty strong, very slippery, and will generally stretch pretty far without breaking; sticky CM might stretch a little, but it is much drier, probably not as clear, and will break fairly easily. I hope that helps!

  • That is very helpful, thank you both!!
  • Sticky CM is tacky, like partially dried glue. Your fingers sort of stick together and there's resistance when you pull them apart, but it doesn't really stretch at all.

Like PPs said, EWCM really appears just like raw egg whites. It's slippery and stretches easily when you separate your fingers.
