I hate people. Yesterday when J checked our bank account he noticed some weird charge...after spending half his day on the phone he finds someone started an email address that was his firstname _lastname@aol.com and made paypal transactions with it. They somehow have our checking account number. He believes it happened in Russia, WTF. Now they have a freeze on our bank account which hopefully doesn't affect all the bills due to come out today. I'm convinced its from the Target breach because I had just signed up for the Red card right before that happened, which required me giving them a blank check, but supposedly that part of their system wasn't affected. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me in the last 10 years.....I'm over it!

Oh wow. Its one thing when peoples credit cards are messed with, but your personal bank account? Thats just fucked up. I am so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully they will figure out whats going on and stop anymore damage from happening.

That is the worst! If targets gift registry information was infiltrated, I'm pretty sure everything was they just don't want to admit it.Sorry you are going through this and hopefully it gets worked out soon!

Thanks girls. It really does feel like an invasion of privacy...to start an email address and a paypal account and then use our checking account number? Previously I had credit card and debit card issues, but never this. They suggest we get a new checking account number which will be such a PITA since everything we do is linked to that account. I wanna punch whoever did this!

People are so disgusting that it makes me sick. I could never imagine having the balls to start an email address and paypal account with someone else's information.
