Spill 'em!

We hadn't eaten at the dining room table in over a month until this week. This only changed because I realized Ava Nichol wasn't eating her food and wanting to get down almost immediately but that she was still hungry. I said I think she wants somebody to eat with her so DH did and she ate her whole meal.

We have been eating at the table the rest of the week and she has been eating almost her whole meal every night. Guess she wasn't just being picky.

I'm sick of when people ask me how I'm feeling and they're expecting me to say how miserable I am. When I tell them the truth that I'm feeling great and only a little tired, they either don't believe me or start in on the "Just You Waits".

I'm about to hit 35 weeks. I've yet to have any real lower back pain (with the exception of some pain in late 1st tri/early 2nd). I'm still sleeping pretty well, just getting up to pee. I'm not waddling. My ankles only swell a bit when I'm crappy with my water. I've only had two real hormonal breakdowns. LO doesn't wake me up at night with his movements.

Don't get me wrong, I know I'm lucky, but still...I wish people would stop raining on my parade and expecting me to be miserable.

I pick my outfits based on how big my bump looks. I've wanted to be pregnant for so long, I feel confident in the way I look finally, and I don't want to hide it under bulky clothes! I know this is silly and pretty soon it will look big no matter what I wear, but I don't understand wanting to wear the bulky sweaters and baggy shirts.

My cold has gotten awful and I want to complain about it IRL but I *know* if I do, I'll get unsolicited advice about what I can and can't do. People who hear me sniffling already are offering it up so I don't want to open any other doors for them. All I want to do is bitch about it and be done with it.

@JennaHack I had that experience too. I loved being pregnant and miss it. I worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital the night before I was induced and everyone said 'oh my you shouldn't be working!' I'm pregnant... Not sick or handicapped. It drove me crazy. My FIL was the worst... I was shoveling our driveway and he flipped out on me. I appreciate the concern, I'm thankful for loving pregnancy, but just leave me alone.

@GoodWolf - I did the same thing! My bump can't be missed now, but when I was just starting to show and had a little bump, I LOVED wearing shirts that made it look obvious I was pg and not fat.

@jennahack - I felt that way most of 2nd/3rd tri until the pre-e symptoms started. Enjoy feeling good!

This weekend has been so crappy that all I want to do is drop all my responsibilities and drive off and not come back home for a few hours. I might just leave Lexi with DH and go have an ice cream and shopping trip to myself tomorrow.
