  • Age of your Little One/ Weeks Pregnant/ # of Cycles you've been trying/Time you've been waiting: 34weeks!

Recent Milestones?: We did Maternity Pictures in the wind and cold and "trying" to snow....curious to see if she got any good ones, I felt like my hair was in my face and we looked frozen the whole time. Also my mom is throwing a baby shower tomorrow, and as of next week I only have to work 2 days a week until the end of the month!

How is mom (or mom-to-be) doing these days?:Tired and sore....going back and forth between 6 more weeks is too short and how the heck am I supposed to last 6 more weeks if I am this uncomfortable now.

BONUS: Thoughts on gender specific baby items?

I fully plan on putting my little girl in dresses and hair bows..but I also have told people I would rather NOT be given all pink stuff or gender specific toys if possible (at least until she is old enough to decide she wants a doll or a truck on her own). The nursery is very gender neutral as I would prefer her gender to be part of her rather then what defines her. I think there's too much pressure to be girly or to be "all boy" on kids in our society.

Age of your Little One/ Weeks Pregnant/ # of Cycles you've been trying/time you have been waiting: 5 months old Recent Milestones?: He's trying to crawl and almost sitting up by himself. Also teething! How is mom (or mom-to-be) doing these days?: Worn out and busy BONUS: Thoughts on gender specific baby items? I like them, I'm not crazy about gender neural items because I feel they aren't as cute. And I feel they still lean one way or the other. Toys are different and I don't care honestly I feel like it's a toy and who cares if a girl plays with a truck or a boy plays with dolls. I even feel like patterns can sometimes lean one way or the other but Ethan's sheets have polka dots on it and I think it's fine.

How am I feeling - not too bad, I finally seem to be sleeping decently again, so that's kinda nice, and have a bit more energy. My hips hurt off and on, but I'll live to tell about it. My first tri was pretty easy, so I can't really complain.

Bonus- the big things are all going to be neutral. Crib, stroller, playpen, car seat etc. and the nursery is going to be pretty neutral top. obviously I'm not going to put a little boy in a dress, but really, if we have a girl my daughter will probably wear very few dresses. I've found some cute 'neutral' sleepers that I've bought, and as far as toys go I really don't care if I have a son that plays with a doll or a girl that prefers trucks. We're finding out what we're having so I can feel a bit more prepared, but really, if we end up having a girl, I'm going to be pretty annoyed if everyone buys me a bunch of pink stuff.

  • Age of your Little One/ Weeks Pregnant/ # of Cycles you've been trying/time you have been waiting: 13 .. almost 14 months

Recent Milestones?: He is totally walking independently. I've noticed that he's starting to run a bit too. It's making my nervous haha. We went to my nephews' birthday party and he was totally keeping up with the big kids. It made me really sad because he's not a baby anymore :(

How is mom (or mom-to-be) doing these days?: Good. Busy. Tired. You know.. the usual.

BONUS: Thoughts on gender specific baby items? I don't know how to answer this question really. All of our larger items (crib, car seat, stroller, etc.) are gender neutral so that we can re-use them. My son has a lot of toy trucks and such but if we had a girl, she would also have toy trucks. I wouldn't put T in a headband and tutu dress but you better believe if I have a girl, she'll be wearing that stuff occasionally ;)
