WIJFR: Wrecked (NS)

I was browsing Netgalley yesterday and found this book called Wrecked by Priscilla West. It had this hot half-naked guy on the cover, and it drew my attention.

Wrecked (Wrecked, #1)

It's about a hot MMA fighter, Hunter, and a damaged girl, Lorrie. It sounded like one of the typical NA's out there that I've been reading, but I requested it anyways. Lorrie has a troubled past, and Hunter has a reputation for being a manwhore, but they fall for one another. I was enjoying the book at first. Then came the sexy part. Normally, this is one of my favorite parts. There was just something about this book, though, that left me giving it the side eye as I read through the sex scenes. Hunter was my favorite part, and not just because he's hot and was imagined nicely in my head. He was also a big goofball that I could realistically see as someone I might have hung out with in college. Lorrie was just eh for me. I found her annoying throughout most of the book. There's a second book (of course), and I might read it. I'd like to know what happens next, but I'm not waiting impatiently.

Re: WIJFR: Wrecked (NS)

  • If the sex scenes are off, it can ruin the couple's whole dynamic. Hate that!
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

  • Thanks for the review! I love the NA genre, but I am getting rather tired of the formula that seems to be developing.
