WWYD - Thanking neighbors

Our one set of neighbors are really nice, and once again they used their snow blower to shovel us out.  H works nights, so he didn't even get a chance to do it since he's still at work.  I looked out to see if plows hit our road yet and our driveway and sidewalks were done!

I want to do something nice for them, but my creativity is lacking - any ideas?!  We don't think they will take money... and even in the summer when we give them produce from my dad's garden, they made us zucchini bread.  That's how freaking nice they are haha!

  • You could make them cookies or something.  Or do cookies in a jar.  (I really want a cookie right now.)

  • I second any type of baked goods.

  • A "snow kit" would be cute...like a little basket with packets of cocoa, some cookies, candy, popcorn, etc.

  • I was thinking baked goods too... I just need to find the motivation!

  • Yup, I was thinking baked good too! Maybe pair that with a small gift card too.

  • Around here there's a really popular coffee chain that everyone loves (Tim Hortons!!!!), so I'd get a gift card for here and give that to my neighbors.

  • I would do baked goods and maybe a small gift card to a local food place.

This whole winter just needs to be over.  We just hit the 50th day of temps below 0 today.  My 4 year old niece asked when summer would come back.  She then motioned to all the snow and said, "I just need all of this to be gone."  I laughed.
  • Baked goods is always good, and especially because you know it's something they like & do since they bake for you. Also, I wish your neighbors were my neighbors!

I agree about being SO over winter. I'm just glad we didn't get pummeled the way we said we would in NYC, but I know a lot of people are getting another bad storm today!

  • You have incredibly kind neighbors!  They definitely deserve something.  I would probably give them baked good (cookies, a pie a cake) and a gift card to a restaurant or local store with a thank you note.

You're welcome on behalf of Canada.
