Happy Monday!

Wooh!
How was everyone's weekend?
Mine was good. I got to leave work 30 minutes early on Saturday night. It was a really slow day and I had all my work done by like 9:30 so they were just giving my random stupid things to do then finally let me leave at 11. It was nice leaving that half hour early. haha!
Yesterday we had friends over to play board games. They got drunk. I was the only sober one, I had nothing to drink all night except iced tea. They think I'm lame, but whatever. Not only was it a school night for me, but I don't really drink anyhow. DH caved to peer pressure and drank more than he probably should have, but that's his own problem.

So much to do this week! Ahh!!  It's midterm this week, and I leave Friday for DC! Woooohooo!!!!

Have a fantastic day!

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Morning. Our weekend was busy. Saturday I has sils baby shower and then we had all dh's family over for dinner and cake for ds1 birthday. So that was busy. Then ds1 slept like crap and we were up all night it seemed so Sunday was a lazy day where little got accomplished. We have so much to do around the house it's terrible. Next weekend were going to my hometown to celebrate ds1s birthday and for a wedding so we won't be able to accomplish much then either. I'm really hoping to be productive in the evenings this week. And to do what I can during nap time if these kids all cooperate.
  • Hola! it is icy and snow here so they closed the clinic.  Which means I have a 4 day weekend wahoo! (tues are my day off)  Followed by 2 day work week and a THREE day weekend.

I am trying to get some of the details taken care of, house cleaned, and paperwork printed out etc. Lots to do! But I actually love it :D

Happy mon JLQ. As someone who doesn't drink all that much I know how you feel.  I don't really care what others do as long as they don't drive drunk, why do they care what I do?

Hi Echo is everyone back to normal in your house? I can imagine a week of the sicklies can make it hard to maintain a house. Sounds like a busy baby filled weekend :D

  • Were all well here. No more sickness but laundry is just getting caught up on. we had so many blankets and clothes and everything to wash from the sickness that regular laundry (and cloth diapers) all got pushed aside for a bit. I think I have one more load and I'm back on track.
  • Morning Gals! I didn;t do anything this weekend. It was glorious.

    JLQ: Good Luck with midterms!

    Aggie: Wohoo long weekend!

Echo: Sounds like a fun weekend. Hope everyone is feeling better.

  • So a funny story. Probably some tmi but amusing.

There is a long running joke in my family that our first kid, being conceived in Australia, should be named Sydney. Well based on my updated calendar Sydney is a very real possibility. Bahahhaha. Although I would never do that to my kid and that isn't our plan, but amusing none the less. Or at least to me.

  • That is amusing aggie! I am amused.
  • I saw your silence post. I presume you are enjoying a nap time lull?

  • Yes, Aggie, I generally don't care if other's drink either, except my friend kept pressuring me to do shots with her, and that irritates me. If I said no once, you should just leave it be ya know? If I wanted to drink then I would. Thankfully they did not drive home. DH had picked them up so they walked back to their place, ti's only a couple blocks from ours. I offered to drive them but they said no.

Echo - All that sounds exhausting but fun at the same time! YAY for celebrating birthdays!! And I hear ya on the dirty house, I spent my entire morning Saturday cleaning ours.

Aggie - Love your funny story!

Degrea - I love lazy weekends! They are the best!
