And now the discussion...

Re: Mana - TBH
Do you think that Tatiana should have said something to her sister earlier? I go back and forth. I think at first she thought that it was just a crush on Alexander so it was easy to not say anything and then it just got harder from there. I also get the feeling that her parents wouldn't have allowed them to date anyway.
I definitely loved the book. I only wish their time in the woods was shortened. OMG you can only pick blueberries, go swimming and banging it out SO MUCH! I was so glad he left I really didn't get into the emotional good bye because I was ready to MOVE ON.
UGH her family. First off I hate them all, so I wish she did tell them right away and left them. They were ALL horrid people and she was their scapegoat for everything. I agree I think she just thought it was crush, and by the time she realized it was more, there were just TOO many things against them. I really didn't care if it hurt Dasha, I was more worried about Dimitri, gosh he was a little wuss weasel of a man. I love how he died.
Wow I sound horrid myself, but I really didn't like these people. Even at times I didn't like Alexander. He's temper was awful, and I'm sorry Tatiana would not be able to disengage him so quickly at times. I know Jeff can get hot headed, and it takes a LONG time for him to even calm down enough to talk. And really... sex doesn't fix every issue. "Lets not talk and go to bed instead" fixes nothing!
I'm guessing Alexander is still alive, since there's 2 other books, the last being Tatiana and Alexander. I thought about reading the next one but I need a break from Russia. I found it anticlimatic she made it over to the US and had the baby. I really have no idea how there's 2 more 800 page books about these two people.
