Since today is TTC Tuesday, how many kids would you like to have?
my read shelf:
Re: QOTD 3/4
The plan is two, maybe 3=)
2 since H already has 2 and we really don't want to have an only kid. I used to say 3, but I'm good with 2 now.
We're thinking two.
What? No aspirations to be Duggers part 2?
Childcare is crazy expensive. I didn't realize it until we had a baby boom at work and people started talking about it. They have childcare at work that's income based, but it's still $600-700 for infant. 20% discount for additional kids. My one CW was paying $1150 for 1 kid somewhere else!
I definitely added this to our "when to TTC" checklist. We paid off enough debt to free up enough for daycare (we will be paying my parents, but I wanted to be able to cover it since my mom wasn't looking good for a while, she's doing a lot better now) and all the extras that come with baby.
I just had a convo with my friend. She comes to me for budgeting advice, and she's like what's a good age gap for another kid... and I was honest and said "when you can afford another kid in daycare". She didn't like it, but that's my opinion.
