Changing LO in public

dup post from facebook.

my FIL is building bathrooms onto his barn because they let people rent it out for weddings. he is putting changing tables in the bathrooms, and wants to put them in the large stall not in the open area outside the toilets...thoughts on this? would you prefer to be changing lo in private?

Re: Changing LO in public

  • I have never really thought about it, but I can see both sides.  If someone was using the big stall though, I would hate to have to wait to change LO because they were taking too long you know?

  • I've never had an issue with changing them outside of a stall.  I have had to wait for the big stall with the changing table to open, which is more annoying than changing out in the open IMO.

  • I rather change LO outside the stall than inside.

  • I'd rather it be outside. I'd hate to have to wait for the stall to open if someone else was using it and I'd also hate to be the one taking up a stall if there was a line.  I also might not not have thought to look inside a stall if I didn't see one right away. For weddings I don't see it being a big deal, either way, though.

  • Also I personally rather change further away from a germ filled toilet now that I think about it.

  • It doesn't matter to me, but I will say I would hate to have to wait for the big stall to open up if lo is wet because she hates being wet and would scream and cry. That's no fun.

  • Outside the stall, I hate using the handicap accessible stall if it's not necessary
