Soccer Shots or other toddler soccer programs

I am considering signing Madeline up for soccer.  She just turned 3.  Talk to me about toddler soccer.  Is young 3 too early?  Soccer Shots Saturday sessions are only 30 minutes which seems tolerable.

Re: Soccer Shots or other toddler soccer programs

  • Jackson started soccer shots at 3 and still does it.

It's not a big commitment and they're learning basic skills. i've gone to watch a few classes, and it's hilarious. The kids are really funny while learning the skills. J and his buddy often go off and do their own thing, but he still loves it.

  • EJ did soccer shots at her daycare for 3 or 4 years.  She had fun, and it was done during the day so it wasn't eating up our weekend/evening time.  She did develop some skills along the way too!
  • I just signed Madi to do at daycare also.. In our area there really wasn't organize soccer until 4-5. I've heard really good things about the soccer shots!
  • Todd attends a similar program at his daycare. He also started playing U5 soccer last fall, which is pretty unruly just because the kids are so young. The soccer skills he had learned gave him more confidence, but most importantly he thought it was fun.

  • Solomon just did it through daycare, too.  He really liked it, and I would do it again if the opportunity presented itself.  (There was a supplemental cost, but daycare covered part of it.)
