I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

Did ya'll miss me?!!!
DC was AWESOME!!!!!!! I loved it. Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! I was ready to come home, though. Everyone was starting to get annoyed with each other and we were all tired and grumpy by Wednesday morning. I feel like I got to see so much, but not enough at the same time. We walked The Mall, so I saw all the monuments and the Capitol building and the White House. We went to the Holocaust Museum, which is amazing but depressing at the same time. We went to the Newseum, and to Georgetown and I got the best cupcakes!!! They are huge and have crazy names like "uniporns and rainhoes" and "pretty bitchin". I mean who comes up with these names?! I saw the National Cathedral which was crazy huge. And I got to meet Aggie, which was just amazing and wonderful!!!!! I can't wait to go back!! I want to go like NOW!

What's new?! What'd I miss? Anything fun and exciting?

Re: I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack

  • Morning! We got hit with Vulcan yesterday, so we are all digging out from that storm. H is heading to CT this afternoon. He will be back super late Friday night, like midnight! So I am all by myself tonight. Tomorrow I am heading over to SIL to make some birthday invites for my niece. She invited me over for dinner so I won't be so lonely! This weekend we head to BLO to see my family.

Glad you had fun in WDC JLQ! Like the idea of nestie/knottie GTG. We will have to make it happen one of these days. Did you have a favorite part? How was the food?

Aggie: ONLY A FEW MORE DAYS!!!

  • I'm glad you had an awesome time JLQ. I get ya on the being sick of each other and tired...it makes for a disaster.

Nothing new and exciting here. DS1 is running around naked because hes trying to potty train. It's fun. He hasnt peed or pooped in his diaper at all since waking up so I am expecting either success or a big mess soon. yeah!
  • Ethiopian was disgusting.
We had Vietnamese for lunch one day and it was good. I didn't get anything crazy.
Aggie&I went to this place called Nando's Peri Peri and it was delicious!! I wanted to go back for more, but no one wanted to go with me, those losers.

Degrea - That's nice that your SIL invited you over for dinner! Have fun with your family this weekend!! I need to get home to see mine, it's been too long.

Echo - I'm laughing at this image of your DS running around totally naked...it's just cracking me up!

  • hes got the cutest little naked bum! I love it! We had success with him going pee and poop! This is big! lol I know you probably all dont care but im sharing it anyways.  Im going to continue to try to get him to use it after nap too and see what happens.  We use cloth diapers so having two in cloth is a bit annoying. I can't wait to be back to just one.

  • YAYYYY for success!!!!!
I remember when I was babysitting the twins and they were potty training, it was the best thing ever when they went in the toilet!!

I've been entering every contest I can to try to win cloth diapers because I've decided I want to use them. hahah

  • yeah for cloth diapers! I really love mine. There are days when doing the extra laundry is annoying but not having to run out every month and buy new diapers is awesome. We have paid maybe $300 in total for diapers and that will last us all of our kids ideally. We might buy more here and there as ours wear out and I just want to buy new ones - specifically when we eventually hopefully are blessed with a girl and I will NEED girly coloured ones. It definitely saves a tonn of money! Plus theres not chemicals going against your babies bum!
  • WOHOO!! Potty Training is a big deal. Hope it is smooth sailing.

Glad all the food wasn't disgusting JLQ!

  • I wondering if you went to Baked and Wired! I love that place. And I am really glad you didn't go to Georgetown Cupcakes (from DC Cupcakes the show) they are really over rated.

  • There was a giant line out the door for Georgetown Cupcakes. I don't understand that. Why wait in line just to get regular sized cupcakes with fancy flavors?
Our trip adviser told us about Baked and Wired, otherwise we probably wouldn't have known about it.
