Where do you think it is? I've read too many conspiracy theories and I'm about ready to build a bunker. One of my closest friends' husband is a pilot, so I asked her what he thinks. And he thinks it's at the bottom of the ocean, so I am going with his thoughts so I don't panic. Because it scares me out of my mind to think someone can hide and land a plane that size. And what they have planned for it next.
So what do you think?
Re: Missing plane?
Also, I just keep going back to the show "LOST". Enough said.

A week ago we were talking about all the theories and how crazy they were. Days later and more and more of the stuff that seemed crazy seems more likely.
I definitely think it was hijacked whether by the pilots themselves or not. I am leaning towards it landing somewhere. This just seems really planned and thought out. There had to be a plan and ulterior motive so what would that have been? If it wasn't immediately making it clear that it was a hijacking then I think the plan was to land. I've read a lot if theories too so I'm not sure what I think exactly.
I'm also on season 2 of watching Homeland so I'm all about terrorists and conspiracy theories right now, ha!
yea but wouldn't everyone have died then as well? Unless the pilots had oxygen backup?
My theory is in the bottom of the Indian Ocean never to be found unfortunately.

I'm somewhat convinced they are somewhere with Matthew Fox and Evengeline Lily and a smoke monster too... A little too coinsidental if we start hearing how the passengers knew one another.
All kidding aside, I believe they are at the bottom of the ocean as well. Sad - closure for those families is a long way off. And what is more weird to me is that I have no idea what the pilot or whomever hoped to accomplish should the plane it truly have been hijacked. I mean they are all most likely dead - how could any demands be met? And even if they were alive, wouldn't we have heard some sort of "demands" by now?
I can't imagine they were able to land a plane somewhere, without radar / controls, in the dark.
I'll have to ask my friend (stewardess) and her husband (pilot) to hear what they think, but my thoughts are at the bottom of the ocean, too. Whatever came out of the oil slick that was found in the ocean?
My three sons!
Totally agree!
I think it landed somewhere. They have some pretty solid evidence that it made that turn and kept flying. It just doesn't add

Clare - the oil slick was found to not be related to the kind of oil in the Boeing 777
April - I'd heard that, but to me (and this is JMO) that makes no sense. If they wanted the plane, then why not rob a bank to get $$ to get a plane like that. To hijack and kill all those people.... the "hard" way for sure. And if they wanted someone in particular, wouldn't they have found that though the passenger list, like someone would have stuck out when they reviewed the manifest... Who knows!
The craziest theory I read involved that the plane was hijacked because of the people on board--20 or so employees from some weapons company that the hijackers wanted to work on things to then fill the plane with.
After looking at the most recent maps and the fact that it's suspected the plane was going south, I think plans went awry and it's lying at the bottom of the ocean, because there aren't many places to land a plane that way, it's pretty much open ocean.
I was thinking it sounded plausible but then I read this, which points out a lot of issues with the theory

I don't know what I really think! I guess I don't buy it was an accident. But it still could have ended up crashing
