Since I already asked about your five favorites that you would bring to a new planet, what are the five books you're dying to read but haven't gotten there yet?

1. Red Rising - I have it on my Kindle but I haven't had time to just sit and start on it.
2. Gone Girl - again I have it but this is one I need to be in a zone to read and pay attention
3. Champion, I'm too cheap to buy it and my library doesn't have it on e-mailing
4. City of Heavenly Fire
5. The One ( final in The Selection trilogy)

I have every single one of these ready to read, but just need to finish the other 2 I'm currently reading and find the time to start these.

1. Water Walker by Ted Dekker (Just started this two night ago and I'm about halfway through, but I'm counting in this list anyway!)

2. The Wahls Protocol by Terry Wahls

3. Everyone Communicates, Few Connect by John Maxwell

4. Hannah's Hope by Jennifer Saake (in the middle of this, just need to pick it back up)

5. Tea with Hezbollah also by Ted Dekker

@rockabye Is it a, get lost and forget about time, type of book? I'm almost done with Pillars of the Earth, and am debating on whether to start that or Divergent next. But I'm looking for one that will be more of an escape.

I had a very hard time putting it down. I read the whole thing in like 2 days. Because of the nature of the book, it's not what I'd call an "escape" but more of a deep, dark, suspensful trap lol

@brij2006 I loved The Edge of Never and The Edge of ALways

I JUST finished Emi Lost and Found Series. Oh my GOD I was crying, laughing, sobbing, giggling all through this book. I have never been so thrown into a book like this one. This book has a lot of loss in it so it is something the know before going into it.

I actually am. It isn't something I would usually read, but H recommended it and then I saw you girls recommending it. So I figured why not. It's a long book though, especially when you're listening to the audiobook.

I want to read these but I do have one question: do you read the prequel (Not Today, But Someday) before or after the actual series??

I didn't read the prequel, you don't have to at all really. It is really an intro to Nate and Emi but you learn all about them in Book 1 anyway.
You will cry though maybe sob but you will... It's inevitable. I cried 3 days during lunch when reading it.

Both very interesting reads. Slaughterhouse Five is a little mind boggling at times and disturbing (Kurt Vonnegut, who'd guess??). Room was an eye-opening perspective, that's for sure. Maybe it was the writing style, but I didn't feel as sucked in/emotionally involved as I do with other stories. Still very good though, and I read through it pretty fast.

I hate the school year. I feel like I don't get any personal reading done!

1. Monuments Men - I'm trudging through it. I want to read it so badly, but I just don't have the time.

And I can't think of any others. ELA teacher fail.
