Music/Lyrics

Music is my safe haven.  Without it, I'm sure I would be a much angrier person, cry more, and possibly have a hard time being happy.  Anyone else like me out there?

If you had to describe your life through lyrics right now, what would you choose?

Re: Music/Lyrics

  • My favorite lyric is, "To be yourself is all that you can know." From Be Yourself by Audioslave.

  • My theme song right now is "Danny's Song" by Kenny Loggins. "Even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you honey." That's my and DH's song right now.

  • For the past couple of months I've been obsessed with Be Okay by Oh Honey.  I love the whole song but these are my favorite lyrics:

"I'm wide awake, so what's the point of dreaming
When your life is great, celebrate the feeling
Can't complain about much these days, I believe we'll be okay
Wanna scream it out, I believe we'll be okay"

I love "The Story" by Brandi Carlisle and "Wide Open Spaces" by Dixie Chicks. I feel like I relate to the lyrics in both songs.

ETA- I just listened to Wide Open Spaces after posting this. It related more like 5-8 years ago. Not so much now. :)

The song on my running playlist that makes me cry every time I listen.
