Tuesday Randoms

I am stuck on a conference call, so I need some distractions!

Any randoms to share?  Confessions? AW's? Vents?  Any fun Spring things coming up?!?

Re: Tuesday Randoms

  • Vent: I ordered 2 things from target the other day. Yesterday I saw they are now doing B1G1 50% off which applied to those. I called to see if they could credit me since I literally just ordered before this started. And they said no.

I get that it's a deal and not a regular price adjustment but it seems SO stupid on their end. I told them I could just reorder with the lower price and return the others. I have a red card so it's free shipping. So instead of just crediting me, they are now going to still be giving me it at that price when I reorder and be out the shipping fees not to mention the time to fill another order.

Stuff like this has happened at other places. I get that they wouldn't advertise they'd do this and hope people won't go to the effort. But if I'm telling you I will just reorder, it would be cheaper to credit me.

I hate playing all these sale games (ugh I had to do this a ton over Christmas) but it saves me money!

  • My kid is apparently the only toddler to hate Frozen. I thought she'd love it (she loves the song Let It Go), but she wanted no part of the movie. Go figure.

Speaking of her - my baby is turning THREE next week. How did that happen?!

April is shaping up to be a busy month and I'm not excited about it. It makes me tired thinking of it!
  • FlameworthyConfession - I think that a number of people who try to do that whole hand on your hip, elbow out "sorority pose" for pictures (that I think is supposed to make you look thinner) just looks dumb and like people are trying to hard.  (Not any of you, of course!)  Some people pull it off well, but at least for some appearing in my news feed, it just looks forced and fake.
  • Scaredy-Cat Confession: I have some rants that I would love to post...but because my screen name is also my real name (dumb idea!) I am afraid they will see it.  I need an alter ego!!!!
  • My parents get back from Florida next weekend.  I am so excited to have some reliable babysitters!

For whatever reason, I am not able to log into Facebook from Candy Crush, so now I can't receive extra lives from people or ask people to get me to the next level.  I am not happy about this!

I was so excited to update our downstairs, but now I am just annoyed by it because I can't make any decisions or find things I like.

  • I'm taking Friday off to have a day to myself.  We're going to my aunt's house in State college on Saturday (my birthday), so I wanted a day to do what *I* wanted to do and not a family thing.  (Even though I do want to go to my aunt's on Saturday).  I'm going to get my nails done, my eyebrows threaded, shop, get my photo taken for my new driver's licence and hopefully talk to someone at AAA when I'm there about our girls 40th b-day trip.   I am really, really looking forward to having a day all to myself.

My flameful confession is that Disney World is probably THE last place on Earth that I would choose to visit if DH and I were going somewhere without kids.  I know there are lots of fun/adult things to do there, but I still would just never, ever want to go there for an adult trip.

Disney World is probably the last place on earth that I want to go WITH my kids!  LOL.  We will go eventually for the kids, but it will be painful for me and I am not looking forward to it at all.

Enjoy your day off to yourself!  Sounds heavenly!

  • I am also taking off on Friday and probably a half day Thursday but am doing nothing to assist my FSIL for her wedding on Saturday. She hasn't asked for help and I'm not offering since she has not really been that nice lately. I am going to go get my hair done on thursday night, then my nails done of Friday and run some errands.

I girl that used to work for me just posted that she had to put her dog down yesterday. I feel awful for her BUT the dog died of pyometra(a uterine infection caused by going into heat and not getting pg) which is totally preventable if you just have your dog spayed. Why wouldn't you have your pitbull spayed, seriously you can even get it done for free in Pittsburgh! So I am judging.

  • I totally judged the mom at Aldi's the other day because she let her 2 year old sit at and unattended register and push all the buttons  while she bagged her groceries.  All the while saying in a soft, soothing tone, "no, no get down my little precious love button..."  (ok, I might have adlibbed a bit)

I'm not normally a mom judger because we all have our moments.  But, I was totally side eyeing her.

  • And by the way, Disney without kids was glorious!  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I have to take kids with me next time.  :P
