31 week checkup

I had my check up this morning and all went well.

I'm not sure if you remember but at my last appointment I saw a np and she talked to me about my weight gain, diet, and if I was exercising. it was redic. seeing as i was only up 16lbs at that point.

I discussed this with my midwife this morning and she was sooo annoyed. she said they've had problems with this np before, and that I should ignore everything she said and to make sure I don't schedule anything with her again.

Bear is growing properly and was moving all around so they couldn't really get a good hb reading that lasted more than 3 seconds before he would move and kick the doppler.

my next appt. is in two weeks and then its every week. craziness!! I schedule all the rest of my appt's from now until baby arrives.

I'm glad your midwife was reassuring. I had something very similar happen when I went in for an emergency appointment when I fell. My sugar levels have always been on the high side of normal, but at 32 weeks I had only gained 8 lbs, and I had passed the 3 hr GD test easily. The on-call OB told me to watch my sugar levels and what I was eating. Baby girl was being estimated at under 3.6 lbs at that point. I was SO upset. I saw my regular OB at the next appt and she told me not to worry.

It's frustrating when people who know nothing about you a) don't bother to read your files and b) dispense advice which is not right for you! Totally get how you were/are feeling!
