Are You Kidding Me @NestKayla?

Seriously @NestKayla ?  Are you kidding us with your letter from Mrs. Obama? You post a letter to "Bump Moms" on a board of women trying to get pregnant?

3T or not, that was really insensitive.

  • I also find it amusing that she posted it on GP and not on GPM, where someone might have a little more of an interest. :-?

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

  • Ouch.

All of these years that I've paid for medical coverage just hoping that one day I would need the maternity coverage...

Call me when they start requiring infertility coverage. Until then, go "gush" somewhere else.

That's the part of this healthcare reform that I find interesting.

So if your employer offers insurance, you have to take it.  But what if the coverage is crap?  H's deductible is now $10,000 because his employer is required to pay for 60% of it (they used to only pay for 20% and it had a $3,000 deductible).  He now no longer has any IF coverage on himself.

Since there are no longer preexisting condition restrictions, shouldn't all of us be able to purchase our own plan through ACA and choose to have fertility coverage?  Then many of the fine ladies on here would no longer have to worry about being 100% OOP and holding off on treatment or the financial burden it brings.

But we can't if our employer offers it.  That part doesn't make sense.

*Disclaimer: I think ACA is something that needed to happen to the health insurance companies and is a great thing.  But wasn't well thought out.*

@NestCayla remember when we were trying to get in touch with us and you ignores us and didn't give two shits? Yeah, now you want to make an announcement because someone is sponsoring your sister site and expect people to give a shit?

This is exactly what I was thinking. I thought you'd forgotten about us. But hey, you can remember us when it's convenient for you. Nice.
