I have a stupid question (re: temp drops/ovulation)
I should know this, but I'm having a dumb moment, so indulge me...
So, in a "typical" (whatever that is) cycle, women usually have some degree of a temp drop that usually marks ovulation. I should probably know this, but my question is... does the temp drop occur before or after O in that day? Or is there no 'norm"? For example, I take my temp at 6am and it's a noticeable drop. Does that mean I just ovulated maybe a couple hours before then or does that mean (in a perfect world) my body is going to ovulate within the next few hours (obviously, this is assuming I had normal cycles, which I definitely don't). I know that it rises after O, of course. Then again, now that I'm thinking about it, even if one did O before the temp dip, I guess it'd take a couple hours for the temp to rise anyway, so it'd be hard to know. I guess this question is moot now. Ha.
I guess I'll change my question now! haha.. So, if someone were to have a temp dip this morning, like I did, would it even be worthwhile to get it on that night? Or would it be far too late, assuming that it was in fact ovulation (which in my case, I'm doubting because let's face it.. I don't ovulate.)
