Win-DH is going to be home early today!

Whine-We have a play date that is 45 minutes away today from 3-6. I am thinking about canceling so we can have some much needed family time.

Whine-I haven't been feeling well this week. I have a lot to do since we are planning on moving soon. I don't have time to feel crappy.

Win-I made chicken pot pie soup last night and it was yummy! This is the second time I have made it and I think it is going to become a regular.

Win - DH and I got temporary physical custody of his son. It's what's best for him.

Whine - The thought of living full time with a 13 year old boy whose hormones are raging in addition to having a BSC mother terrifies me a little bit. She's already told him "Your dad took me to court and the judge sided with him." I have no words....

Win - Our mortgage was approved and necessary repairs we done on the new house. All we need is the reappraisal and then we'll get the green light to close!

Whine - There is SO much stuff that we want to do to this house and we'd rather get most of it done before we move in... bye bye moneys!!! I guess that's what it's for, right?

Whine - LO was doing YMCA again at 4 AM. I have no idea how else to explain the fat that I'm getting hit in 4 different spots at once.

Win - It's still the coolest feeling ever, so I'll deal with being tired.

Whine - I am so nauseous. I really hope it's just hormones adjusting and getting me into labor...

Whine - DH feels so helpless and it's making him sad. Stupid flu.

Win - I rented a movie on demand today and the day went faster.

Win - we just got another quote for outdoor gates for our deck and it's nearly $100 cheaper than the first quote.

Win - if I don't go into labor in the next 24 hours, I have a hair appt to get my roots touched up.

If you can, do it! I totally regret not doing more things before we moved into our house, especially replacing some carpet and painting a few more rooms. Those tasks are going to be so much more of a pain now that there's furniture to move out of the way first. ETA: TN hates me. It keeps wiping everything I type.

Whine - AF emotions are rough. I think it's what's making my baby fever go crazy!

Win - I have an amazing husband and daughter, they make up for crappy AF.

Yes, but for different reasons. They had 50/50 and it was really disruptive to his schedule, so DH went in to court basically saying, "He needs to be with one of us during the week, and here's why it should be me." (As opposed to "I want him to live with me.") The only reason she says she should get custody is because "he likes it better there." Well duh, what 13 year old wouldn't want to live in a house with no rules and no bedtime?! His school absences (17 so far!!!) are what prompted the temporary change, but her attitude and blatant unwillingness to co-parent and do what's best for her son is why we're trying to get permanent physical custody (we already have full legal). She will literally do anything to make her son hate his father and me and doesn't care that she's totally effing him up. Unfortunately for her, he and I get along well and he and his dad do have a good relationship... until she tries to get involved. UGH, that turned into more of a vent than I planned; sorry! I left out A LOT of details, but it's really hard to give a short version of this nightmare.

That's what we keep telling ourselves. Although it's more practical, financially, to do it a little at a time, we do have the money to do most things right away, so we're going to. I can't imagine living in a house where the kitchen counters and floors are being replaced and the one full bathroom is being renovated.

P - Don't worry about venting, that does sound super stressful, but it sounds like you are making progress toward a better situation.
