Re: Funny IF Article

  • I love this article. I love how it is written and everything about it!
  • Awesome.  I love #3 regarding the higher moral standard.  Perhaps next time someone asks if we're going to adopt, I'll ask them if they are going to adopt.

  • Thanks for sharing this poppies. I needed this today. I want to sit down with DH this weekend and have a serious conversation about "coming out" about all this. Only our parents and a couple friends know right now. It's just getting so hard and I don't want to be hiding something like this anymore when it isn't something I should have to hide.

I feel like this, too. If we were diagnosed with anything else, cancer, diabetes, Grave's, etc., it would be fine to be open about. But because our medical condition has to do with sex, it's all hush hush. Eff you, Puritan influences...

  • @islandmonkey8 It isn't something to hide, but you are brave to come out because people do see it as something that isn't talked about. Lots of hugs and luck, we're all here for you

  • @islandmonkey8 You know that every single one of us on here will support you in wanting to be open about it.  It's definitely something that is hard to keep in.

  • I posted this on facebook with the message "This in no way, shape, or form is meant to #1 Be about me, 1 loss doesn't not equal infertile & I know that #2 Meant to be pushed as anyone ever having said any of this. I found this article informative and a bit of an eye opener. This article wouldn't hurt to be read and understood, it will just make you a better informed person and hopefully lead to a better understanding of what others (including people I know) have gone through or are still going through."

Someone I worked with almost 7 years ago sent me a message with condolences on my loss and told me about hers. She said she's here if I ever need to talk and I told her the same goes for her to me. I know it can be hard to talk about, but I think it's good that her and I both know that we have each other. I think it should be talked about, whether it's a loss like mine or 3T. It would become something not so taboo.
