Older Sibling gift

Ok we need a post today!! Ha.

So I am about 6 weeks from my due date. Need to be thinking of a gift to take to hospital to have for Madi from baby. She already is planning to go pick out something with my mom for the baby or we plan to go to build a bear to get something. Just looking for ideas of what other did. I am trying to think of something she really wants these days. She is way into stuffed animals vs baby dolls.

Thank you!

Re: Older Sibling gift

  • Noah was really in to markers and coloring at that time, so Brody gave him a nice set of Crayola markers and a coloring book.   I think something small is just fine, so a small stuffed animal would be perfect, I think!
  • I think whatever she's into (stuffed animals in this case!) would be great.  Liam got Jake a hot wheels toy you can use in the bath because he was really into cars at that time.

And 6 weeks to go??!!  how did that happen!!??

  • I joined Disney Movie club right before Michael was born. I used the "free" promo movies as Michael's gift to Jackson. Toy Story 1-3, Up, and some other. I thought I might need some movie time to snuggle with J while I nursed the new baby. That worked out well for us.

  • Thanks ladies! Very helpful. Yes didn't want anything too major in trying to transport to the hospital etc.

I know Emmy..... it is just crazy. I have one more 2 week appt then time for the every week deal. I do feel big as a house. And getting all the classic comments about. Room is ready expect needing the curtain rods up. Clothes are washed. Now to determine a name. Ha. And I think mentally prepare myself to go back to baby mode. Ha. I am so neverous for some reason about that yet I figure I have to be better off than when I had no children right?

  • i asked my son (3yo) what he wanted his baby brother to get him and what he would want to give the baby.  He said he wanted a batman costume and wanted to give the baby a robin costume so that's what we did. very funny to look back and see our first family of 4 pics w/ my 3yo in the hospital dressed like batman!  but very representative of our life at that time.
    that is awesome!!!!!!!
