Cycle Vent
We’re out this cycle. I’m so pissed. I think it is ridiculous that we can’t just start when I get back since my body doesn’t work without the meds.
Nope.
“Call when you get your period” the nurse said to me. Which I replied, “So never? Because if you look at my chart I don’t get cycles on my own, ever.”
She back peddled and looked at my chart and said to call at the end of the month and they’ll prescribe Provera. Great so I call on the 28th and have to wait two more weeks to start my next cycle? Bullshit.
I think I’ll call around the 20th and see if I can get the script for Provera early. I think it is bullshit that they are making me wait a month and a half because I won’t be here for 4 days.
I am now an angry, sad, menstruating mess.

I'm so sorry you have to wait.
Could you call back closer to 4 weeks in and ask again? I did that before our medicated cycle, and they had me take a blood test then prescribed Provera so we could get things moving. One of their rules was that they wouldn't allow me to begin taking it prior to 32 days into a cycle. So it was still a longer cycle, but nowhere near what it would've been had we waited.

Have you thought about taking BCP for just this month? Then you won't have to wait for provera and it will help with any cysts that may have occured from the injects. I've had many cycles cancelled due to those awesome side effects.

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

I would say why not if your Dr is okay with it and you can get the monitoring.
