WIJFR: Thr3e by Ted Dekker (spoilers)

Where to begin.  So I read this along with Hoycie and here are my thoughts.

When I started the book I was all:

Sounds interesting

Then as I got to chapter 5 and was like:

But I carried on
And then the train started derailing and I could see the train wreck coming;

I mean really?

I can handle some pretty ridiculous stuff but this one takes the cake

I was practically shouting at the book at the end:

And then it was over (thank heavens).

I have read a couple of Ted Dekker's books in the past and generally give him 3 stars, but this one was a complete and utter stinker and I have to give it one star.

  • Ted Dekker makes me want to burn down the entire Earth.
Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

  • I agree with everything in this post.

At first, it wasn't so bad and I thought it had potential, but first you blow up the damn dog and then he wouldn't shut up about "the boy".

The redundancy towards the end drove me insane.

  • If "sam" was his first kiss then he's never kissed a girl, right?

  • I love this review so much!!! HAHAHA

Ok- so as I digested the end while working today.  So, did Kevin technically have more than 3 personalities? He had parts where Sam was having whole conversations with her boss? So was Kevin him too?

I just can't wrap my head around this.

I didn't even think about this! He must have had a long list of personalities! Now I'm laughing thinking of all these "conversations" taking place in private and in public.
The book, for me, started out really promising, but it just deteriorated for me along the way. I ALMOST started a drinking game.  One shot for every time I read "the boy" and I think after 5 pages, I would have been obliterated!
