Today is World Autism Awareness Day. It holds a special place in my heart as my cousin has two children with autism. Are you wearing blue today in support of it?

Re: CPW: Are you wearing blue?

  • I'm wearing blue, but just by coincidence. However, I would have worn the appropriate shade of blue had I known.

  • I had no idea!  I totally would have worn blue if I had known.  My sister works with autistic preschoolers and my BFF is an ABA therapist in Florida.

  • I just so happened to put blue on today, then realized that day it was and was happy I chose to wear blue. It's not exactly the right color though.

I know quite a few kids with autism. Two close family friend's kids, one is in her early teens and the other I believe is in his 20s. They are both very happy kids, but it's rough on their parents. :/

The roughest part was teaching the teenage girl, M, how to handle AF every month.
