FB XP: Great pup update!

Today we got GOOD news from our regular veterinarian, just like we had been hoping and praying for!! She was able to look at the X-Rays yesterday, and coupled with the fact that Eli only limped the one day last week and has been back at 100% (and then some) since then she said it is VERY unlikely to be cancer (read: it's definitely not cancer!) and that he most likely jammed his carpus/wrist when he was going all energizer bunny in the yard Sunday night. She's so confident that she doesn't think any follow up X-Rays are necessary (smaller vet bill... also a yay!). While it's a bit upsetting the original veterinarian made such a dramatic diagnosis, if the outcome had turned out to be the C-word then we would have been thankful for his aggressive approach. It's a hard line to walk I'm sure for a veterinarian for when to bring up the possibility of cancer, and he just seems to be on the (very) conservative side. Rather be terrified for a week than sorry, right?

So thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers as we rode this roller coaster the last week. Such a weird experience. Eli says hi and thank you to his favorite Nestie aunties!
