Re: UOs

  • My step sister constantly asks me to watch my step niece. And I don't want to. I watched her twice a week (for eight hours) after she was born for a year and a half and I feel I've done my duty. So it's probably coming off as not cool to not want to see your niece. . . . But my sister makes essentially no effort to see me unless she wants something, so I don't feel bad.

I need this explained too!  I do think they can look cute, but they seem like they would fall down really easily (i.e. be a pain in the butt).  Am I wrong?

I just re-read my sentences - holy pronouns!  Hehe.

  • Babylegs are awesome because you don't have to take off and put on pants for diaper changes but legs still stay warm. Awesome.

@alexisanna44 - I can see how that would be a big benefit! I'd been thinking they were just for looks

  • Nope! Totally functional. DH thought they were dumb until the first diaper change. Then he started putting them on her, too.

  • I bought a few pairs of baby legs and W's thighs are too chunky for them so they are constantly sliding or rolling down. I wish we could use them because pants are a pain in the ass!

  • Yes.  Pants on babies are a pain.  They squirm and both legs end up in the same hole or once you get one leg in and go to put the second leg in, they kick off the first.  Baby legs keep their legs warm and also give them a bit of protection when crawling around once they can crawl.

  • I want to try baby legs but now I'm scared her thighs are too chunky. I think they would be functional because pants can be a pain in the.... you can not do a quick diaper change with pants.
  • I hate things that are monogrammed/personalized. I know my own name, and I know my kids name. I don't need to a)be reminded of this and b)strangers don't need this information.
Agreed! I don't need a bunch of stuff with baby's name all over it!

    Or "supposably" instead of "supposedly"
You guys will probably hate me now. I say "supposably" on occasion....Lol

Blame my family! They are a bunch of Okies and say things like "warsh" and "tworlit" instead of wash and toilet. I was doomed from the start!

Also my mom is always screwing up words, like altitution instead of altitude and elevation. Keeps life entertaining I suppose. Lol

  • In my area, it drives me nuts when people say "crick" instead of "creek." And the warsh thing kills me. I always used to make fun of my dad for saying it that way. I guess on Sunday he was reading the Bible aloud in church and he said "warsh" instead of wash and immediately cracked up. Later he said to my mom that he knew if I was there I would have been laughing at him too.

    Ugh! So awful.

It kills me more when people type these words that way. I get regional dialects (people around Philly say "wooder" instead of "water"; I get made fun of for saying it right, haha), but spelling is universal.
