Re: it's rainy, but at least it's Friday!

  • Tonight: no plans, our kids are usually in comas by the time they get home on Friday, so we finally figured out that it's best for everyone to just keep it low key and have an early bedtime!  we'll probably watch last night's "Parenthood" once they're in bed.

Saturday: Jake has a dentist appt in the morning, then wants me to take him to the library, so we'll head there.  after that, no real plans, but it looks like it might be somewhat nice out, so we'll probably head outside and try to start getting the yard cleaned up while the kids play (we still have piles of leaves that got covered up when the snow came so early this year!)

Sunday: church in the morning, bday party in the afternoon, no other plans

  • TGIF!  Woo hoo!

My parents get home from Florida today, so we are going over to their house for pizza.  It will be nice to see them and to also have our babysitters back!

Saturday I have plans for a run, but otherwise, our day is open.

Sunday - No plans either, yay!

  • Tonight: fish fry, we may go crazy and try a new one tonight!

Saturday and Sunday: many trips to goodwill and working at the old house so it can get on the market in the next two weeks. hold me. :((

  • TGIF! What a long week!

Tonight we're having my dad over for dinner and presents for my baby girl's birthday. Just a low key evening.

Tomorrow we're going to take her to the Upper St Clair rec center's indoor pool for some swimming.

Sunday just recover from all the festivities ;)
  • Tonight - pizza and dvr.

Tomorrow - I think my inlaws are coming to visit.

Sunday - WW, church and DH, my brother and the kids want to go see the new Capt America movie.   I will stay home all by myself.  And love every, single second of it!
  • Amber--I love those moments.  I am also looking forward to that on Sunday, since Brian will most likely take Jake to the bday party, I will stay home with Liam...the party starts right around his nap time, which means that I get a solid TWO hours by myself.  I don't know what I will do.  Read? (maybe)  Do some more work outside? (probably not.)  Catch up on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? (most likely)

  • DD is turning the big 5 and the party is on Saturday.  How the heck did we get to year 5 already/?!?!?!

Oh and here's a cake update...I cancelled my order at Giant Eagle and sent dh the next day, because I didn't feel really confident that the women I talked to knew anything about cakes.  The woman that took the order from dh said that all the sheet cakes come with a layer of icing.  Which is very opposite of what the other lady told me.  ~X( So, I'm very curious to see what we are actually getting!

  • Tonight: Dinner with my parents, laundry, binge-watch Downton Abbey after G goes to bed. I'm still solo parenting b/c Casey's work schedule is Wednesday through Sunday. It blows.

Saturday: I may take G to the Dormont Easter Egg Hunt. It's in the park and I'm worried about it being a muddy mess. I'm also worried that it won't be that warm for it. It's at 10am and the high for tomorrow is only 50 something. Maybe go to the mall to play at the playground? Maybe the library? Toys 2 Try? Who knows.

Sunday: One of my good friends is directing Beauty and the Beast for South Park High School and they're having a Sunday matinee at 2. I'm going to take G and see how it goes. I'm not sure if he'll tolerate it or not. They're gearing this performance more towards kids. They're not turning the lights all the way down. It could be a fun time if any of you are looking for something to do.

  • I need to get my house feeling more tidy.  We just got a new sofa, and I love it but its newness is so stark against the mess that is living with a 6 year old. she is home today because school is closed for some teacher thing. Anyway- cleanliness now is not possible with her needing to entertain herself. We have library books to return, and our local ice cream place is opening today and i promised EJ a trip there. Even if it is raining :)

tomorrow I think we are going to dinner and out to see a band play with one of K's friends who will be in town for the night. One of those things I will be all meh about until we get there and then I will have fun, I am sure.

Kev talked of costco Sunday.  so maybe that.  EJ has an American Girl tea party with her grandma so we won't have her until the afternoon when we go to get her back. I
  • Tonight: A family event at H's school from 6-8, then I'm doing drop-in help from 8-9 at the yarn shop. DVR catch-up until I collapse.

Saturday: First soccer games at 9am. Hoping that the fields won't be too muddy, but given the week we've had, they will probably be a mess. Other tasks for the day: buy birthday present, design invite for T's birthday party, taxes, grocery store.

Sunday: Swimming lessons, H has a birthday party to attend, and I have a knitting class. Laundry, etc.

The family got me Lego Fallingwater for my birthday. Heather and I started it one night this week, so we'll work on that, too.

  • Tonight - nothing! probably watch the Blacklist episode on our dvr, or the Netflix movie we have right now (no idea what it even is)

Tomorrow - enjoy the nice weather! And make cupcakes to take to a birthday party sunday. I found a recipe for cotton candy cupcakes, and I have a total weakness for cotton candy. We have pictures of me eating cotton candy all over the world, from amusement parks to Oktoberfest to a street market in Seoul.

Sunday - my SIL's 30th birthday party! Yay, should be a lot of fun  =)
  • Today:  it's a ME day.  DH is golfing in Florida with his buddies.  I'm doing laundry (clothes and bed linens), straightening up the house for showings this weekend, getting a haircut, then I have a meeting with our state Senator this afternoon, hitting a little Shaun T and T25, already made Cheese Tortellini for the girls for dinner and then a play night at home

Saturday:  Going to the Candyland Easter Event at the one Cranberry Church, hoping soccer is canceled due to rain, Bridal Shower all afternoon and then emptying my house of all things baby to deliver to my uncle and aunt and ordering out sushi with them!

Sunday:  working 24 hours but planning to have my mom bring the girls down for the morning/lunch/afternoon to visit

Sunday - Bridal Shower for my cousin

  • We were homebound all last week due to Michael's scarlet fever, so we're catching up this week.

Tonight we're meeting up with some friends for dinner.

We're opening up the lake and finishing kitchen renovations up there this weekend.
