Sit farther from the stage but at the end of the row so that you are free to move in and out and buy drinks if you want?

Re: NBR: Concert Seating

  • I like getting close to the stage, but I would sacrifice a few (or a dozen rows) for convenience.

Totally depends on the show for me.

Sometimes, I need to be as close as I can possibly be, regardless of anything else at all (i.e. big rock shows where I have a crush on the band).  Other times, I'm content to sit in the very last row just to be there, but might seek better seats based on acoustics or convenience (Buddy Guy, BB King, etc., where I'm really and truly just there for the music).

ETA: DH would always, always pick the convenience because he has no problem leaving to go get beer or pee and has a bladder like a 2 year old.  I almost never leave a show to pee or anything, unless I'm truly desperate.
  • What @SusieBW said exactly.

  • As long as those seats further from the stage are not in the nosebleeds, I'm okay with opting for convenience.

No band/duo/solo act is worth sitting up so high you could fist bump Jesus. #gavel

  • Depends on who I am seeing.  Is it a concert where everyone is going to be standing the whole show or sitting throughout the show?

Do I need space to get my groove on? Or will there be no grooving whatsoever?

Am I going to be all dolled up and I want people to see me? or do I not care about what I look like and don't need people to see me?

I need more details to give an educated answer.

  • My claustrophobia puts me at the end seat. Always. Panic attacks in the middle of a concert kind of ruin the show.

Seriously. I've seen him 12 times, I think, and I love him more every time. Sit in front.

  • I have to pee WAY too much to sit in the middle of the row.

  • I like to sit as close as humanly possible. However, at 4'11" that is just not smart at some concerts. Mosh pits are not my thing, plus I am bound to be behind some super tall a-hole and not be able to see anything. I guess what I am trying to say is that it depends on the type of concert.
