WIJFR: Mariana by Susanna Kearsley

I don't know why I've held off reading this one, it was so good! I loved the setting and now really want to go live in the English countryside. Oh and the end, I didn't see it coming at all! I had to read it twice to make sure I was understanding.

Anyway, I'm done babbling. Just wanted to get out all my feels for this book.

  • I really enjoyed this one too! I've been on a Susanna Kearsley binge for the past month or two. I really liked the main character in that one!

  • I started that one and put it down because I wasn't in the mood for it.  I need to get back to it.

    I loved Mariana, too. The setting felt so alive in that one.

  • I'm like 80% sure that is one of the books I got you for the Halloween exchange. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much!

    (If I'm wrong please forgive, I never remember what I buy anyone.)

  • It's my favorite Susanna Kearsley.  I'm so glad you loved it.  It's one of those books that I almost take personally when people don't like it, even though it's totally irrational.

    @RevJen FINISH IT ALREADY!

    All right, all right.  I'll put down The Boleyn Deceit and pick that one up at work today.

  • This was such a great book!  I wanted more at the end, but I also really loved how it all came together.

  • I keep hearing that Kate Morton is an author with a similar style.  I keep waiting to see if it pops up at my library on audio, but I haven't been successful.  I just don't think I'd pick it up otherwise.

    I have really enjoyed the 2 books I have read of hers. They do have some similarities.
