Re: School stabbing in Murrysville

  • Way too close to home for this east of the city gal. A friend hubby is a teacher in the middle school. Not going to get on my soap box or start the flames but I just think people do not have any sense of consquences anymore. Yes we need more resources for metal illness..... but I think we also need resources in how to handle situations without resorting to violent acts. Get reprimanded at your job, doesn't give you the right to go get a gun and come back and start shooting or stabbing. I could go on and on.

It's such a shame.  My friends son just missed the incident, becuase he was running late this morning.  Three of his friends were stabbed.  I can only hope that everyone injured is okay.

  • Heartbreaking, and terrifying :(

  • My heart is so sad about this.

So many thoughts...but none are coming out well through typing, so, I'll have to try again later....
  • Ditto Dena. This is so sad.

  • This is so sad.    It sounds like the hospitals are doing a great job of quickly getting all the injured the help/surgery they need.  Sounds like all will survive.

It makes me really start to consider homeschooling.

  • please keep in your prayers my mother in law's coworker's son - he was stabbed & is at Presby undergoing surgery now.
