NBR: Semi Damaged Product (Amazon related)
I have a random question for you ladies. I have extremely poor lighting in my house so I finally broke down and bought a make up mirror through a seller on Amazon. I have several issues with it. One, the on/off button is sticky and you have to hit it multiple times to get it to stay and the mirror itself is a little loose. I was going to exchange it through Amazon, but I can't because I purchased it from another seller.
Honestly, I don't really want to go through the hassle of boxing it up and sending it out even if the seller will replace it. Do you think it's working asking for a partial credit? I know the company I work for would absolutely do it in the name of customer service, but is this standard practice across markets? I'm such a pushover that I would just accept whatever they told me, but I would try to push if it's something that really should be done.

Honestly, I've had such good luck with Amazon that I've never had to do this with them!

I got a reply in just a few hours. They refunded my money for the damaged item and told me to feel free to do whatever I wanted with it - keep and use it, throw it out, etc., no need to return it. Then they gave me an additional $20 credit for not meeting the guaranteed 2 day prime shipping delivery.
Definitely call Amazon Customer service first before trying to deal directly with the seller. They are the best!
