End of Pregnancy/Being Overdue is like 2WW

I swear every little thing makes me think labor is going to start.  Just like every little twinge made me think I was pg.

I thought my water broke in the middle of the night last night because I felt something weird shift or bubble or something.  Nope, just a funny kick/punch.

The Jeopardy song is the theme of our life right now.

  • We haven't had ST since November.  Yeah.........I'm just soooo not interested.

And it'll actually be only a week-ish until he's here.  My OB wants him out by 42 weeks and that's on the 19th.

I went in to my 3rd tri expecting to go 2 weeks late. All the babies in my family prior to B were two weeks late. I think that was helpful.

  • Dude! If you want him out, get it on! Think of it more as prescribed medicine than a romantic experience if you want. It's pretty much the most successful natural labor induction.

  • @MRads - That's been my outlook this entire time, too.  My OB told me months ago that we wouldn't even begin conversation about inductions until 41w3d.  That's not until next Tuesday.  DH and I are the only two that have been patient.  I'm just getting tired of everyone bugging me about it.

  • Eat a whole mess of pineapple and GET IT ON! Have DH play with your nips, too, because nipple stimulation can help stimulate/contract the uterus.

  • Are you still working?  I definitely found that working right up to my due date helped keep my mind off labor starting.  Work can be such a good distraction!  (I would have kept working beyond my due date too, I just happened to go into labor that day.)
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @Lynn0514 Yep, I'm still working.  And that's definitely helping......except for my co-workers, (seriously, all of them) any time they walk by my desk, "You're still here???  When's that baby coming out???" or some sort of version of that.

Working is helping keep my sanity and it makes the days go quickly...but my co-workers are driving me nuts.

Ugggggh, I did forget about that part.  Nothing is worse during pregnancy than the constant co-worker inquiries.  Blah.
