Re: Thursday Randoms
Not good times.
It's beautiful today. Tomorrow I get to go to the book bazaar again and fill up any size bag (as long as I can carry it out) full of books for 2 bucks.
My husband built a bike trailer so we can do our grocery shopping by bike finally.
We are talking about biking the C&O canal sometime this summer depending heavily on very specific things.
As much as I want to do that, I'd rather have those very specific things, but my head is saying it will never happen.
So, negativity abounds today.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to."
"I don't much care where –"
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go.”

It's sort of ridiculous to be so excited, but I haven't spent a bunch of money on books in a long time, and now I get to pick out a bunch without actually shelling out cash.
I'm new.
So there's that...

All stores in my area have stopped carrying the only toothpaste (Colgate Dora in pink) that my 3-yr old will tolerate. They have the same toothpaste in different colors, with different cartoon characters on the front (Spongebob in purple and Ninja Turtles in green) but are all bubble gum flavor, but NO IT IS DIFFERENT and is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.
I am seriously buying a wholesale case of toothpaste off of Amazon (they sell it in boxes of 6) because I am so over having a never-ending arguement with a toddler about toothpaste twice a day.

I shopped online and put a shit ton of crap in my Old Navy shopping bag this morning, knowing full well that I am not going to buy it, because I am super-poor right now thanks to the stupid hot water heater in our stupid rental house.
I took tomorrow off but DH wants us to go do yard work at the aforementioned stupid rental house.
I have been reading a lot of mildly enjoyable but crappy books lately. I need to step up my reading game.

Thanks! I'm more of a jump-right-in-and-post kind of girl.
However, I live on the west coast, I've been married for three years, and I love all different kinds of books. I recently finished The Name of the Wind.
