  • Eloise: Makes me think of that book and movie, not a fan.
Ruby : I can't, someone I use to know with that name and they just ruined it for me.
    Luna: Harry Potter! Love it!
Desmond: Not a bad name, not my taste
Gavin: I have a cousin named Gavin, I like the name. My SIL and BIL considered it for my nephew, then didn't use. I don't like what they did name him and hate the reason they named him that even more.
Soren: Surprisingly, I don't like it. But if you said it to anyone who knew me they would tell you not to tell me the name because it sounds like something I would like.

Ruby - Sounds like a hooker's name, so nope.

  • Eloise and Ruby are cute, but wouldn't top my list.

Luna is adorable, but I don't like how it goes with our last name.

Desmond and Gavin - NMS at all, though I don't mind Gavin in general.

Soren - it's cool and different, but I'm not sure. I wish I really liked more Scandinavian names, that being a decent chunk of my heritage.

  • Eloise, Ruby, Luna - I don't like any of them.

Desmond, Gavin, Soren - I like Gavin, but would not use it.  The other two are no's.

  • Ruby is my Grandma's middle name...and the name that I am constantly pushing on Jim to love.  I would use this name in a heartbeat if he agreed.   I think I might have him convinced that it's okay for a middle name.

I like Gavin, but our last name ends in an -in sound, and I do not like the repetitive sound of those kind of names.

    The others are NMS.

  • Soren and Luna I don't like at all. The others are fine but NMS. Also, someone on my FB news feed just had a baby a week ago and named him Desmond. It just made me think of LOST.

You've got it. Emphasis on the first syllable and sounds just like it's spelled.

  • Love Eloise. Like Ruby. Luna is okay, but it reminds me of Harry Potter.

I like Desmond, but it isn't a name we would use. Gavin is okay, but too close to the name of my LO. Don't like Soren at all.
