GTKY: Big

What does a "big breakfast" usually consist of?

Re: GTKY: Big

  • I LOVE those big breakfast samplers at restaurants that come with eggs, pancakes and different breakfast meats. Especially if it's a new place and I don't know what to order, this solves that problem! I do try to keep them to a minimum or share them if I'm out with someone other than H because they're usually more than a days worth of calories.

Otherwise I make a "bigger" breakfast on the weekends. Usually omelettes or pancakes, but sometimes I'll make eggs benedict or something like that.

  • we do BIG breakfast on Sundays usually.  I either make waffles or pancakes and eggs, some sort of bread or biscuits and either bacon, ham or sausage.

And some weekend's I'm just plain lazy and make a Stratta which is equally delish.

  • We usually go to Cracker Barrel together every few weeks and my big breakfast is eggs, grits, toast, bacon and H and I split a blueberry muffin.

If I am making a big breakfast, it is pancakes or french toast, some kind of breakfast meat and whatever kind of fruit we have that day.

  • We do big breakfast on Sundays and we mix it up so sometimes it's pancakes and either bacon or sausage. And other times it's bacon or sausage, eggs, and biscuits or toast.

My mom does big breakfast sometimes for our birthday and that's a whole new ballgame. It's 6 adults and 1 toddler and 1 baby so it's a lot more food. That is usually eggs, bacon and sausage, potatos, biscuits, muffins, gravy, french toast, and maybe pancakes. Or usually a variety of the above. It seems like a lot but she just sets it out and you can get what you want.
  • Eggs, Toast and scrapple!!!!

  • Usually it is pancakes or French toast, sausage, bacon, as bad eggs. We always had big breakfasts on Saturdays when I was growing up. My husband and I don't make them that often. We usually just have eggs. I made waffles a couple weekends ago.
