Fitness Post!

How's everyone doing?

I am still in a rut and really hoping to get out of it soon!  On Saturday I did the lake at North Park, but it took me much longer than it usually does.  It was more of a walk with some running breaks. I didn't get out until the afternoon, and I hate to say it, but it was almost too hot to run!  So I got out once, but did not hit my goal of run/walking 3x a week.

This week my plan is to do Tues/Thurs/Saturday.

  • I only did the 30 day shred once last week, then went away on a girls weekend and consumed food and drinks and purposely did not do anything.  We considered taking a hike to a waterfall on Sunday, which seemed like a good idea talking about it Saturday night, but not really all that fun when Sunday morning rolled around.  We opted for coffee, breakfast, and shopping instead. 

    I'm not sure that I'll get back on the bandwagon this week of hitting my goal of 3 times/week; we had baseball last night, I have a PTSO meeting tonight, then we have stuff going on all weekend starting Friday.  I will attempt to do something wednesday or thursday just so that I don't feel quite as guilty! :(  I am determined to get back on track next week when we don't have quite as much going on!

  • I think I made it to the gym once last week because of soccer and work schedules.  Boo!  I did go to yoga yesterday and we're trying to find a way for me to go to the gym tonight and for DH to take the kids to soccer practice, all with one car.  (keep your fingers crossed that soccer practice is cancelled due to weather tonight!)  

    I am also going to try to up my weights in my class this week.  Last week she kind of shamed me (not in a mean way) about using 4 and 5lb weights.  She told me I was stronger than that.  I think she's out of her mind.  The next weight up is 8lbs.  That's a big difference.  But, I feel like I should try since she thinks I'm so strong.  HA!  
  • I've been consistent with T25 for the past few weeks (only 25 minutes, 5 days a week)...I missed a day last week so I did doubles on 2 days.  I'm determined to wear a 2 piece this summer and I've lost 8lbs in 2 weeks.  I have this huge goal of doing a boudoir photo shoot and doing a mother daughter wedding dress photo shoot (I'd love to see B in my dress and then take pix of me in it) when I get down to my wedding day weight.  It will happen and I've set a July goal for this!!!  I just need a little Shaun T and Tony Horton yelling at me!

    I have 2 little glass jars in my bathroom with colored marbles in it so every pound lost goes from 1 jar to the other....fortunately, even after a few weekends away, I've never had to put them back!

  • I got kev a rower for his birthday, and have used it 4 times in the past week!  Just building up my endurance and strength for it though. Last night I did 25 minutes including a warm up and cool down.

    Try the 8s, just make sure that you also have the 5 close by! I always find that I am okay at the beginning when I switch, but towards the end of class it catches up.

  • Last week wasn't so hot (only got 1 trip to the gym in). This week I've gotten in one day and I'm going to shoot for 2 more. I have a 5k in a couple weeks so I'm trying to stick to it so as not to embarrass myself too much ;)

    I ran three miles yesterday.  I'm trying to talk myself into going to the gym on my lunch break.  My office has a free gym on the first floor so I really have no good excuse for not exercising.

    Oh, and this is coming from the girl who hasn't been to the gym in a year and would probably die with 3 lbs right now!
