Jamberry Nails?

Anyone use them?  A friend is having an online party, and I'm intrigued...but are they really as nice looking as all the stock photos I'm being shown?  Are they easy to put on? Does anyone have a million dollars to pay for all the ones I want to buy?

One of my coworkers has been using them for a few weeks and is having a party next month. Her nails look really good and have lasted for about 1.5 weeks at a time, which is really impressive as we are nurses who constantly wash our hands and get lots of wear and tear on our fingers. She said the first time she did it it took her about 30 minutes to figure it all out but that it was pretty easy.

These were her nails after 10 days (she kept them on about two weeks). And before you think it's weird I have a photo of my coworker's hand, she's been posting pics in the FB event for the party so we know how they hold up before we order.

ETA: I'm not sure if I'm going to try them, though, because my thumbs are crazy fat and I'm not sure they'll fit me. :-/

  • A friend of mine used them and the instructions say you can soak them off with water or polish remover. She tried the water method then peeled off the strips and it effed up her nails. Make sure you use polish remover ;)

  • I tried them out a couple of times. They weren't bad. Using the blowdryer for them isn't too hard, but make sure you heat them up a LOT and then press/smooth the crap out of them or you will end up with little bubbles.

Definitely didn't take me any longer to apply than a nice careful polish application, and then there was no dry time, so that's a plus!

@Aimothy, I use Jamberry Nails all the time and love them.  My first set took me about 40 minutes to put on but now it only takes me around 15 minutes.  My advice is to use a flat iron/hair straightener rather than a blow dryer.  I stick the very tip of the nail wrap to a pair of tweezers and then hold it next to one of the inner sides of the flat iron for about 15-20 seconds per nail wrap (you'll see the wrap start to get more flexible), then I apply it to the nail.  Once I have it applied and trimmed to fit my nail length, I take my finger with said wrap on it and use the flat iron again for about another 10 seconds to 'seal' the glue.

Mine usually last at least a week and a half.  By the 2 week mark they start to peal off and by that point I don't have to use anything to get them off, they pull right off, then I use nail polish remover to get rid of any extra glue that may be on my nail.
