Question for the bakers...

How long can I leave buttercream in the fridge before using it?  I'm making a cake for Easter, but I made my icing yesterday.  Should I freeze it?

Re: Question for the bakers...

  • Forgot to mention, I'll be icing the cake on Saturday.

  • I think it will be fine until then in the fridge!  I wouldn't freeze it.

I am thinking of using a marshmallow frosting on our easter cupcakes...just looking for recipes now :)

Fridge it is!  Let me know how the marshmallow frosting goes.  I've pinned a few, but never tried them yet.

I am debating between those that use marshmallow cream as a starter or egg whites.  I will let you know how it goes next week!
