I know maybe many of us have long weekends for Easter (if you don't I feel your pain) so what is everyone going to be up to this weekend?
We are going on our mini-baby moon this weekend. We have tickets for a baseball game tomorrow then spending the night at a hotel across from the ballpark and spending some time at the casino on Saturday morning. I hope we come out winners!
Sunday my parents are coming up to help us get decorations up in the nursery and we are going out for an Easter buffet.
I'm a little eager for this weekend to get here!

"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."

I am off tomorrow for the first time in 7 years!!! They decided to make this our Spring Holiday and jip us out of a day at Christmas.
Tomorrow: having lunch with K, my dad and Grandpa. Then probably going to Target/grocery shopping for the weekend and Lowe's to get things for the house.
Saturday: taking K for an early morning Easter egg hunt at the loca orchard and doing house work.
Sunday: church and then over to my parents for brunch with my grandpa. In the afternoon we are going to my aunt and uncle's for our big family get together.
Monday: I "work" from home
I'll be able to catch up on laundry during the day while K is at daycare.
My parents came into town this week and have been helping watch the kids while H is in Japan.
Tomorrow is my regular Fri off, but we have no plans yet. It will be up to my parents to decide what they'd like to do. I know they want me to make crab cakes for dinner.
Sat H gets home from Japan and will probably be very tired so we'll just relax around the house more than likely.
Sun we will head to church in the morning and then over to my brothers for Easter brunch. I plan on putting some eggs around the house for Delilah to find and am excited because I think this is the first year she'll actually be excited about it and possibly remember it.

Mmm crab cakes! =P~
Saturday and Sunday I'll be cranking through the rest of my freelance assignment, which is due for its first round edits on Monday.
Those are my only plans, since it takes me a good 4-5 hours each day to stay on target for completion. I don't usually have it in me to do much of anything else after that other than some basic tidying and a load or two of laundry.
No Easter plans. Neither of our immediate families is very religious, so no one (that I know of) has anything planned.

@bridget0117 - I use a combination of recipes
Basically, I use this first recipe but leave out the fresh parsley because I'm not a fan (I will sometimes replace with dried parsley). I add a dash of hot sauce like in the second recipe, but try to minimize the amount of seasonings so the crab flavor shines through as talked about in the second recipe. Both of these are great recipes though on their own as well. After shaping the crab cakes I will let them sit in the fridge a bit again before frying so they stay together better. It may seem like they will just fall about when frying, but I promise you they won't.

Then I love serving it with the lemon dill sauce from Paula Deen (again replacing fresh parsley with dried and sometimes just using dried dill since I often have that as opposed to fresh). Let it sit for a while for the flavors to meld.

I will be spending the weekend with a few aunts, and cousins, for what is shaping up to be an annual ladies weekend. Last year it was filled with bike rides, brunches, and booze. I'm really looking forward to the brunches this year haha.
I will also be sharing our news with them. Very excited for that!
All the while, H will be scrubbing the house from top to bottom because it should be going in the market today!
(I think I won in the weekend department.)

I don't get a long weekend. Sad about that. I feel like I could probably sleep an entire day.
Saturday, depending how I'm feeling I'm having brunch with 2 girlfriends. My nausea and indigestion is seriously out of control lately!
No Sunday/Easter plans right now. I'm sure my ILs will do something. MIL likes to celebrate anything she can. My parents left for Hawaii yesterday for their 30th anniversary. Lucky ducks!
