Wednesday Random- Are memory foam pillows worth the $?

I just stumbled upon a Living Social deal for 2 memory foam pillows for $49 plus I have a $10 off coupon that expires early May. I don't see anything else worth using the coupon on but H and I have never used memory foam anything before. Anyone have any and think it's worth the price? FTR, our current pillows are really old and terrible so it's not like we'd be getting them just to get them...Thanks!

I have one, and I like it - H also has one and he likes it. That's a pretty good price for two. I think I spent about $25 on mine, and H spent a lot more than that on his (back in his pre-MM days).

We have them! I love mine...i often find H's on the floor in the morning. he gets up way before me so I don't know if that happens in the process of getting out of bed or before. I think we spend about $20 on each of ours.

We got ours at Costco for $50/each I believe. We both love them!

I think they were worth it.

I got 2 years ago and paid about $25 ea, so I think it's a good deal. I don't really care of them, so I use them behind my regular pillow and it gives better support.

we buy new pillows once a year because that's what our chiro suggests and we really like the firm king size pillows at Walmart. I think they are Beauty Rest brand and only cost $15. So we don't shell out tons of money on pillows.

I have one, but only because they were free when we bought our memory foam matress.. I really like mine though and that deal sounds like a good deal and would be worth it!

I literally just bought a couple yesterday when I was at Costco. I couldn't help myself--they had a 2 pack of gel memory foam pillows for about $10. They're probably not that great compared to some of the ones that cost more, but I can tell you that after using it last night, today was the first day in a long time that I didn't wake up with a headache. And even DH who has back problems said he really liked it too. It did take a little while to get used to it at first because it is denser than a normal pillow, but I was so comfy today that I didn't want to get out of bed (and neither did the cats--they were all trying to fit on my pillow this morning, lol)

my cat does this too! I wake-up with a little kitty-crown every morning.

GREAT info - it's about time for H and I to replace ours. I'm going to check this out over the weekend.

We have similar issues with our cat... she loooooves my memory foam pillow. If I forget to kick her out I always wake up to her snoring about 1 inch from my face.... she snores louder than my H does.
