long time no post-update PIP

Hey strangers! Hope everyone has been well. I continue to tell myself to post more regularly here but I've failed miserably to do so.

Just wanted to announce that our little girl was born in January (10th) at 34 weeks by emergency csection. We named her Georgiana Lynn (after my Dad who died in 08 & she shares my middle name) After a really rough pregnancy, I was admitted for a 24hr urine & amnioreduction. She had a bowel obstruction and my amniotic fluid level was twice normal amounts because of it. We knew she needed surgery to correct the obstruction once she was born. A few hours after the reduction her heart rate dropped to 49 & I was wisked away for an emergency csection before you could say it out loud.

When she was born, she was blue & not breathing. They successfully resuscitated her. Her cord had gotten wrapped around her foot & cut off her blood supply. We were team green so I woke up from general anesthesia not knowing anything but was so happy when they told me she was ok. I only got to see her on her way to be transported to the children's hospital where she had surgery the next day and spent 27 days in NICU.

We came home on February 6th and I had my thyroidectomy that following Monday the 10th (as previously noted we found out I had thyroid cancer at 8 wks pregnant). We were home with her for 10 days and she started throwing up so off to our local ER we went & she was transported back to the children's hospital. She'd had a second obstruction form from scar tissue adhesions and needed emergency surgery as her bowels had ruptured. We spent another 2 weeks in the hospital and those days were SO hard because she had to be on the ventilator for 5 days sedated and couldn't have food for 8 days...it was awful to hear her cry & not be able to feed her.

Now she's home & up from her birth weight of 3lbs 8oz to 8 lbs 1oz as of Monday. She'll be 14w actual/8w adjusted tomorrow (Friday). She is doing so well and she's such a happy baby. I love her to pieces!!

Yesterday (the 16th) I received the second part of my treatment, radioactive iodine and am staying for my isolation period of 15 days at my moms...don't want to have my sweet baby exposed to the radiation. I'm missing her & DH (& even my dog) something crazy. It sucks being literally locked in a room.

Now for the good stuff...photos :)
